How to make a Misty Moonlight Christmas Card

Hello and welcome to the first edition of my September Colour Challenge. This month’s randomly chosen colour is Misty Moonlight. Week 1 is monochrome and I decided on the Stampin’ Up! Warm Hugs bundle to create this Misty Moonlight Christmas Card…

Let’s Make This Misty Moonlight Christmas Card…

Start with a (standard A6) card base created from Whisper White Thick cardstock. Next trim a layer of 2020-2022 In Colour Designer Series Paper (DSP) to 9.5 x 13.9 cm. For the final layer, trim a piece of Whisper White cardstock to 6.5 x 10.9 cm and emboss using the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder.

Before adhering this layer to the card front, wrap around a length of Misty Moonlight ribbon and secure at the back. Tie a shorter length around this and trim the ends.

Stamp the sentiment and small images in Misty Moonlight ink onto Whisper White cardstock. I have used one of the sentiments from the Wrapped In Christmas Stamp Set. Cut out each of these elements with the coordinating dies. Adhere the die-cut elements to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

What do you think to my Misty Moonlight Christmas Card?

I hope you enjoyed finding out how to make this Misty Moonlight Christmas card. Misty Moonlight is still my favourite of the 2020-2022 In Colours and I think it looks great paired with Whisper White on these Christmas Cards.

In Good Taste Treat Cup

Hello and welcome! Today I’d like to share with you my Stampin’ Up! In Good Taste Treat Cup! These Mini Coffee Cups are part of the Heartwarming Hugs Suite but it feels a little soon for Christmas themed projects so I’ve used them with the In Good Taste Suite to create a gift holder that can be used all year round. The Stamp Set and Dies form the Warm Hugs Bundle which is also part of the Suite.

Let’s Make It…

Use the Warm Wraps Dies (part of the Warm Hugs Bundle) to cut out the two sections of the wrap from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper (DSP). Apply Tear & Tape to the tabs and adhere to form one piece. Insert the cup into the wrap and adhere if required.

Wrap a length of Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon around the cup and tie in a bow at the top. Tie a length of Night of Navy Ribbon (for the Playing With Patterns Ribbon Combo Pack) to the bow and allow the tails to trail down the cup.

Stamp the ‘for you’ sentiment onto Petal Pink cardstock in Night of Navy ink and cut out using the coordinating ‘ring’ die. Use the larger circle die to cut out a piece of the DSP.

Adhere to of the small leaves from the In Good Taste Elements to the back of the ring of Petal Pink cardstock. Adhere to the DSP circle using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. Adhere one of the large leaves to the back of the DSP circle. Finish with one of the wooden hexagons and adhere to the cup using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

What do you think to my In Good Taste Treat Cup?

I hope you like my Stampin’ Up! In Good Taste Treat Cup. These cups are a really nice size for a small gift – something coffee related would be perfect (or maybe hot chocolate later in the year)!

A Little Something For You

A Little Something For You…

Hello and welcome to the July edition of the Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop! This month our theme is the new 2020-2022 In Colours. The latest set of Stampin’ Up! In Colours consists of Misty Moonlight, Just Jade, Cinnamon Cider, Magenta Madness and Bumblebee. Which is your favourite so far? I think mine if Misty Moonlight at the moment.

Stampin' Up! New In Colours 2020-2022

For today’s project I decided to use products from the upcoming August – December Mini Catalogue! I used the Warm Hugs Bundle and Wrapped in Christmas Stamp Set and I hope to show you that very few stamp sets are just for Christmas!

Don’t forget to carry on hopping once you have read my blog post, the list of participants can be found towards the end of this post.

Let’s make it…

The (standard A6) card base is created from Whisper White Thick cardstock. This is followed by a piece of the 2020-2022 In Colour Designer Series Paper (DSP) measuring 10 x 14.4 cm. The main card front is a piece of Whisper White cardstock measuring 8 x 12.4 cm.

Before adhering the card front to the card base I have stapled two lengths of In Colour Ribbon to the top left hand corner. This is one of my favourite ways of incorporating two different ribbons into a project.

The sentiment (from the Wrapped in Christmas Stamp Set) is stamped in Misty Moonlight ink onto Whisper White cardstock and cut out using the circle die (from the Warm Wraps Die Set). This is adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The mug outline and in-fill is stamped in each of the In Colours onto Whisper White cardstock. These are cut out using the coordinating die and adhered to the sentiment piece and the card front as shown.

What do you think to my A Little Something For You Card?

I hope you like my ‘A Little Something For You’ card. I adore the new In Colours and I really like using ‘Christmas’ Stamp Sets for non-Christmas projects – us crafters love getting our money’s worth! This card would be great if you were giving tea / coffee / hot chocolate themed gifts.
