Dog Builder Punch Card

Hello and welcome! I admit I was disappointed when the Stampin’ Up! Happy Tails Stamp Set retired BUT the good news was that new got to keep the Dog Builder Punch! I come from a family of dog lovers and both my Mum and I volunteer at our local rescue centres. So, this year, Father’s Day just had to involve a Dog Builder Punch Card!

Let’s make it…

The (standard A6) card base is created from Crumb Cake cardstock. This is followed by a layer of the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper (DSP) measuring 10 x 14.4 cm. The main card front is a layer of Crumb Cake cardstock measuring 9.5 x 13.9 cm.

The Dog Builder Punch is used to cut apertures in the card front – one from the front and one from the back such that the dogs are facing one another.

The ‘Father’s Day’ sentiment is from the Stampin’ Up! Well Said Stamp Set and is stamped in Early Espresso ink onto Crumb Cake cardstock. It is then cut out using the banner from the Stampin’ Up! Tasteful Labels Dies.

The ‘Happy’ sentiment is from the same stamp set and is heat embossed in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder onto a small piece of the DSP. This is also cut out using the banner from the Tasteful Labels Dies. The two banners are adhered to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Nautical Father’s Day Card

Hello and welcome! Today I wanted to share with you a Nautical Father’s Day card that I created using a number of different Stampin’ Up! products. Often I stick to a particular bundle when creating cards but in this example I have used three different Stamp Sets and two different Die Sets!

I hope you like my Pacific Point Nautical Father’s Day Card. I think it has a real sailing feel without a boat in sight!

Let’s make it…

The (standard A6) card base is created from Whisper White Thick cardstock. I have then cut a strip of Pacific Point cardstock measuring 14.9 x 7.3 cm and adhered it centrally to the card base.

I used the Stamparatus to create a background pattern onto a strip of Whisper White cardstock measuring 14.9 x 7.1 cm. The stamp is from the Pattern Play Stamp Set and I’ve used the hinge-step technique to stamp it repeatedly in Pacific Point ink. As you can see, I’ve used multi-generation stamping to produce different depths of colour. This strip is adhered to the Pacific Point strip using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The Stamparatus is perfect for this technique and makes it so easy to produce this kind of effect. If you are interested in purchasing the Stamparatus, why not consider adding it to a Starter Kit during June and you’ll be able to choose £130 worth of product plus a FREE bundle for just £99. Find out more here.

The die cut ‘happy’ is from the Well Written Die Set and is cut out of Pacific Point cardstock – I used the Adhesive Sheets to help adhere this to the card.

The large label is from the Tasteful Labels Die Set and is cut out of Pacific Point cardstock. I have trimmed the edge using my Paper Trimmer such that it sits flush with the edge of the card base. The horizontal banner is from the same Die Set and is used to cut out a piece of Whisper White cardstock. Onto this I have stamped ‘Father’s Day’ from the Well Said Stamp Set and the ‘chevrons’ from the Pattern Play Stamp Set. Both are stamped in Pacific Point but I have stamped off first with the ‘chevrons’.

The final sentiment is from the Round of Applause Stamp Set and I have heat embossed it onto Pacific Point cardstock using White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. This is then cut out using the other banner from the Tasteful Labels Die Set.

The final touch is provided by some ‘splatter’ which I created using the Pacific Point Stampin’ Write Marker.

Far Apart But Close At Heart

Hello and welcome! Today I would like to share with you a card I created to send to my parents and Grandma. I would normally see them at least once a week but I haven’t seen them in person for 8 weeks now!

Let’s make it…

The (standard A6) card base is created from Crushed Curry cardstock. This is followed by two strips of the Stampin’ Up! Mosaic Mood Speciality Designer Series Paper (DSP). The top strip measures 14.4 x 5.1 cm and the bottom strip measures 14.4 x 3.7 cm.

The sentiment is from the Stampin’ Up! Well Said Stamp Set and is stamped in Soft Suede ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock. This is then cut out using the 2″ Circle Punch and layered onto a piece of Soft Suede cardstock cut out using the 2.25″ Circle Punch. The sentiment piece is adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The final touch is provided by a few of the Heart Epoxy Droplets which I have coloured using the Dark Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends.

I hope you like my card – I’m sure my family will! There will probably even be some tears from my Grandma! Hopefully things will be back to normal soon and we’ll be able to have a hug!

SU Timeless Tulips Card

Hello and welcome! Today I would like to share with you a card I made for the Paper Craft Crew Challenge #376. This was a colour challenge and the requirements are shown below:

If you would like to find out more about these challenges, see the other entries or join in, you can visit the Paper Craft Crew website.

The three colours that I chose were: So Saffron, Grapefruit Grove and Pear Pizzazz. Here is my card…

If you would prefer to watch me make the card, simply scroll to the end of this blog post where you can watch my video tutorial.

Let’s make it…

The card base is created from Pear Pizzazz cardstock. This is followed by a slightly smaller layer of Pear Pizzazz cardstock which I have embossed using the Layered Leaves 3D Embossing Folder. I have also cut one of the frames from the Stitched Labels Dies from Pear Pizzazz cardstock. Through the holes in the frame I have threaded a length of Grapefruit Grove Grosgrain Ribbon (held in place using Tear & Tape). The frame is then adhered to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I have stamped the main flower image from the Timeless Tulips Stamp Set in Grapefruit Grove ink onto So Saffron cardstock. This is one of my favourite techniques for this stamp set. It is such a simple way to achieve the dual colour effect which is common in tulips! Having stamped the flower three times I cut them out using the coordinating Tulip Builder Punch.

I stamped three of the leaf images in Pear Pizzazz ink onto Pear Pizzazz cardstock and fussy cut them. One leaf was adhered to each tulip and then they were all adhered to the die cut frame using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The sentiment is from the Well Said Stamp Set and is stamped in Pear Pizzazz ink onto Pear Pizzazz cardstock. This was then cut out using one of the Stitched Labels Dies and adhered to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Tone-on-tone stamping is a great technique when using Whisper White cardstock seems too stark for your project. In this case I think its use helps the tulips to remain the focal point of the card whilst everything else blends together.
