Forever Blossoms Easy Watercolour

Let’s make it…

The (standard A6) card base is created from Whisper White Thick cardstock. This is followed by a layer of Basic Black cardstock measuring 10.2 x 14.6 cm. Next is a layer of Whisper White cardstock measuring 10 x 14.4 cm, forming the main card front.

The big flower image is stamped into the centre of the card front in StazOn Jet Black ink. The smaller flower bud and foliage images are also stamped in StazOn Jet Black around the outside of the card front.

These images are coloured in using Watercolour Pencils (Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry) and the colour blended out using Blender Pens.

The sentiment is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock. This is cut out using one of the Stitched Shapes Dies. The sentiment piece is layered onto a larger circle of Basic Black cardstock which is cut out using another of the Stitched Shapes Dies. The whole sentiment piece is then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stamping for Beginners – Colouring

Stamping for Beginners – Colouring

Hello and welcome to Lesson 8 of the HCHC Stampin’ Basics Series. The series is the perfect introduction to stamping for beginners or a refresher for those with some experience.

In this Series you will learn how to stamp and how to get great results from your stamping – whether you are interested in making cards, scrapbooking or any other paper craft. Once we’ve covered the absolute basics we’ll step it up and discover some great techniques that will take your projects to the next level. But, don’t worry, we’ll make sure you have all the ground-work in place first!

Last week…

In lesson 7 of my ‘stamping for beginners’ course we looked at different embossing techniques – embossing with folders, heat embossing, embossing with paste etc. If you missed it, you can find the blog post here (includes a link to the videos).

I hope you have enjoyed this course. If you have any questions or comments about the content in Lessons 1-8, please leave them below or email me at helen@papercraftlife.com

Now that we have covered the Basics and learnt some new techniques we are going to put it all into practice with the follow-up series: Step It Up! Each week I will create a very simple card and then give advice on how to step it up and look at the difference between the cards we create. I hope this will give you lots of inspiration and practical advice on applying what you have learnt so far.
