SU Very Versailles Card

Hello and welcome! Have you ever noticed that there are certain stamp sets that get much less exposure than others but you’re not sure why?! For me, the Stampin’ Up! Very Versailles Stamp Set is one of these. I think it is absolutely beautiful but I never see many samples around on social media. Today I wanted to redress the balance a little bit!

Let’s make it…

The card base is created from Petal Pink cardstock. The card base is stamped with the frame/mirror image in Petal Pink ink. Next I cut a smaller layer of Highland Heather cardstock and an even smaller layer of Whisper White cardstock.

Onto the Whisper White cardstock layer, I have applied Petal Pink ink through one of the Pattern Party Decorative Masks using a Sponge Brayer. I have then stamped the script and foliage images in Highland Heather and Mint Macaron ink respectively.

I cut a notch out of the Whisper White layer using the 0.5″ Circle Punch before adhering it on to the Highland Heather layer using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I then punched a hole in the Highland Heather layer using a standard hole punch. Mint Macaron Twine is looped through the hole and secured in place using Silver Metallic Thread.

The sentiment is stamped in Versamark ink onto Highland Heather cardstock and heat embossed using White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. This is cut out using the Stitched Labels Dies and adhered to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. This final touch is provided by a few Petal Pink Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins.

I love the way that this combination of subtle colours can make such a big impact!
