Hello and welcome! Today I’d like to share with you my July Customer Thank You Cards. These were sent out to everyone who placed an online order using my July Host Code. I decided to use the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Gala Stamp Set because of the gorgeous images and fabulous ‘Thank You So Very Much’ sentiment.

Stampin' Up! Butterfly Gala Thank You Cards by Helen Chapman Handmade Crafts

Let’s Make It…

Start with one of the Whisper White Note Cards and stamp the sentiment, in the bottom left corner, in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Stamp the double butterfly outline image such that it goes off the edge of the note card (also using Memento Tuxedo Black ink). Also stamp the bodies and antennae.

Use the infill stamps to colour the butterflies – I have used Blushing Bride and Petal Pink on the small butterfly and Soft Sea Foam and Mint Macaron on the larger butterfly.

What do you think to my July Customer Thank You Cards?

I hope you like my July Customer Thank You Cards. They are quick and simple to make but I really think that the two-tone butterflies look gorgeous and the sentiment is perfect!

Ornate Thanks Card

Hello and welcome! It’s about this time every year that I start delving into my stash of Designer Series Paper (DSP) to see what I have left. The new Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue goes live in less than 2 months from now! Super exciting BUT DSP tends not to carry over from catalogue to catalogue, so, if there is something you really love stock up NOW!

One of the DSPs that I’ll miss most is the Noble Peacock Speciality DSP. Featuring Blueberry Bushel, Old Olive and Pretty Peacock, this foil-accented paper is so elegant.

To browse the Stampin’ Up! range of patterned papers, click here.

In today’s card I decided to team it with the equally elegant Ornate Thanks Stamp Set plus the Ornate Layers and Ornate Border Dies.

If you would prefer to watch me make the card, simply scroll to the end of this blog post where you can watch my video tutorial.

Let’s make it…

The card base is created from Pretty Peacock cardstock. This is followed by a layer of the Noble Peacock DSP. I have cut a strip of Pretty Peacock cardstock to the same length as the DSP layer and used one of the Ornate Border Dies to decorate the top and bottom. This is adhered to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The sentiment is stamped in Versamark ink onto Pretty Peacock cardstock and heat embossed using White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. This sentiment piece is cut out using one of the Ornate Layers Dies. Another piece of the DSP is also die cut using one of the Ornate Layers Dies. These pieces are layered together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

What else could I use for the final touch on such an elegant card but the Pearl Basic Jewels?! Stunning!

Ornate Garden Golden Style

Hello and welcome to Part 2 of my Stampin’ Up! Ornate Garden Suite Showcase. If you missed the previous instalment you can find it here.

This week I’d like to share with you this gorgeous, matching, Very Vanilla and Gold gift tag and card. This is such a stylish combination and the pops of colour provided by the Old Olive and Terracotta Tile Ribbon are the perfect finishing touch.

If you would prefer to watch me create the card, simply scroll to the end of this blog post where you can watch my video tutorial.

Let’s make it… Gift Tag

The tag is created from Very Vanilla Thick cardstock. I have used the Delightful Tag Topper Punch and the corner rounder from the Detailed Trio Punch to create the basic shape.

The main floral image from the Ornate Style Stamp Set is stamped in Versamark ink onto the tag and then heat embossed using Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. The sentiment is also heat embossed onto Very Vanilla cardstock and then cut out using the Stitched Rectangle Dies. This sentiment piece is adhered to the main tag using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A length of the Terracotta Tile Ribbon is threaded through the tag and secured in place using a shorter length of the Old Olive Ribbon.

Let’s make it… Card

The card base is created from Very Vanilla Thick cardstock. This is followed by a slightly smaller layer of Very Vanilla cardstock which has been embossed using the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder.

A piece of Very Vanilla cardstock has been cut out using the Ornate Layers Dies. I masked off the intricate sections of the die cut and stamped the main floral image in Versamark ink. This was then heat embossed in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder as with the tag.

A small length of each of the Terracotta Tile and Old Olive Ribbon were adhered to the back of the die cut using Tear & Tape such that they are just visible. This little bit of colour helps to break up the monochrome look and add a bit of extra interest. It also helps to tie the card in with the tag. The die cut is then adhered to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The sentiment is also heat embossed in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and is cut out using the Stitched Rectangle Dies. The sentiment piece is then adhered to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The final touch is provided by a few Gilded Gems.

Many Thanks Card

Hello and welcome! Today I would like to share with you a card I created using the brand new Ornate Garden Suite. This is a fabulous Suite which will feature in the upcoming Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue but which has been released early!

Let’s make it…

The card base is created from a piece of Terracotta Tile cardstock. This is followed by a slightly smaller layer of Whisper White cardstock. I have then cut two pieces of Terracotta Tile cardstock using the Ornate Layers Dies. I have trimmed these such that they create one long piece, with the join hidden beneath one of the sentiments.

I really wanted to use the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set to create a phrase rather than a single sentiment so I stamped various sentiments onto Whisper White cardstock in Terracotta Tile, Old Olive and Grapefruit Grove ink. These are then cut out using the Ornate Layers Dies and Stitched Rectangle Dies. When put together the sentiment reads: Thanks my friend. Seriously, thank you. I’m so grateful for all you do.

The large sentiments are adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals while the ‘filler’ sentiments are adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The final touch is added with a few Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots.

I think this card would look great in any colour scheme so why not tailor it to the recipient’s tastes! Who do you need to thank? Why not create a handmade card and send some happiness?
