Granny Apple Green Bonus Project

Hello and welcome to the final instalment of my Granny Apple Green Colour Challenge. As there are 5 Tuesday in June, you get a bonus project this month! If you have missed the previous Granny Apple Green Colour Challenges, you can find them here… Week 1, Week 2, Week 3 and Week 4. This week I have created a Meant To Be Watercolour Gift Tag to share with you.

Stampin' Up! Meant To Be Watercolour Gift Tag by Helen Chapman Handmade Crafts

Let’s make it…

The gift tag base is created from a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolour cardstock measuring 10 x 5 cm. This is then shaped using the Scalloped Tag Topper and Detailed Trio Punches.

I applied water to the tag using a Water Painter and then applied Granny Apple Green, Just Jade and Misty Moonlight inks, allowing them to blend slightly.

The striped heart from the Meant To Be Stamp Set is stamped three times, in Granny Apple Green, Just Jade and Misty Moonlight ink onto Whisper White cardstock and cut out using the coordinating Stitched Be Mine Die.

The sentiment is heat embossed in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder onto Misty Moonlight cardstock and cut out using a die from the Stitched So Sweetly Die Set. One of the hearts is adhered to the sentiment piece using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The whole piece os then adhered to the tag using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The remaining hearts are adhered to the tag using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and the final touch is provided by a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

SU Forever Lovely Card

Hello and welcome! Today I would like to share with you a card I created for the latest Global Design Project challenge. Visit the website for more information about these challenges, to see the other entries or to join in. This was a colour challenge and the colour combination is shown below…

I decided to use the Stampin’ Up! Forever Lovely Stamp Set…

If you would prefer to watch me create the card simply scroll to the end of this blog post where you can watch my video tutorial.

Let’s make it…

The card base is created from Night of Navy cardstock and this is followed by a layer of Whisper White cardstock.

The multiple hearts image is stamped onto the Whisper White layer in Melon Mambo ink. I have then wrapped a length of Mint Macaron Baker’s Twine around this layer before adhering it to the card base. A shorter length of twine is used to tie the knot.

A piece of Night of Navy cardstock is cut out using one of the Stitched Be Mine dies. The sentiment is stamped in Night of Navy ink onto Whisper White cardstock. This is cut out using the same die and then heart details stamped in Melon Mambo ink. These two hearts are attached together using a Mini Library Clip and then they are adhered to the card using a double height of Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

If you have any questions or comments please leave them below or email me at helen@papercraftlife.com
