Jar of Flowers Card

Hello and welcome! Today I would like to share with you this stunning Stampin’ Up! Jar of Flowers Card. This stamp stamp has a coordinating Punch and there are also Shaker Domes available to fit the punched image. I will be featuring cards using these extra elements in future posts but for know I wanted to show you what you can achieve with just the Stamp Set and some Stampin’ Blends.

If you would prefer to watch me create the card, simply scroll to the end of this blog post where you can watch my video tutorial.

Stampin' Up! Jar of Flowers Card using Stampin' Blends

Let’s make it…

The (standard A6) card base is created from Purple Posy cardstock and this is followed by a layer of Highland Heather cardstock measuring 10 x 14.4 cm.

The main card front is a piece of Whisper White cardstock measuring 9.5 x 13.9 cm. Onto this I have stamped a number of the images from the Stampin’ Up! Jar of Flowers Stamp Set (all in Memento Tuxedo Black ink) – first I stamped the jar, then the flower stems, and finally the flower bunch.

The stems are coloured using the Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. The flowers are coloured using the Rococo Rose, Highland Heather and Purple Posy Stampin’ Blends.

The sentiment is from the Stampin’ Up! Lovely You Stamp Set and is stamped in Highland Heather ink onto Whisper White cardstock. This is cut out using one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies. The next two larger dies are used to cut pieces of Highland Heather and Purple Posy cardstock. These are all layered together and adhered to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. You could, of course, simplify the card further by trimming rectangles of cardstock rather than using the Stitched Rectangle Dies.

The final touch is provided by a few Pearl Basic Jewels which have been coloured using the Rococo Rose Dark Stampin’ Blend.

What do you think?

I hope you have enjoyed this Jar of Flowers Card and I hope I have convinced you that you can achieve great results just using the Stampin’ Up! Jar of Flowers Stamp Set. However, if you would like the coordinating Punch and Shaker Domes I’ll have projects coming soon to demonstrate those too.

SU Good Morning Magnolia Card

Hello and welcome! Today I’d like to share with you a card I created for a sketch challenge hosted by CAS(E) this Sketch. You can see the inspiration below…

If you would like to find out more about these challenges, see the other entries or take part, you can visit the website here.

I decided to use the Stampin’ Up! Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set in combination with the Garden Lane Designer Series Paper (DSP). I hope you like my project…

Let’s make it…

The (standard A6) card base is created from Mint Macaron cardstock. This is followed by a 14.4 x 10 cm layer of Mint Macaron cardstock. To adhere to the sketch I have used 2.5cm wide strips of the Garden Lane DSP at the top and bottom of the card front.

The magnolia image is stamped in Mint Macaron ink onto Whisper White cardstock and coloured using the Mint Macaron and Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends Combos. I decided to fussy-cut the image rather than die cutting because I didn’t want any white space around the image.

The sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso ink onto Mint Macaron cardstock and cut out using one of the Stitched Nested Labels Dies. The magnolia image is then layered onto this using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A piece of Early Espresso cardstock is cut out using the 2.25″ Circle Punch. The sentiment is adhered to this using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and the whole piece adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I think the combination of Mint Macaron and Early Espresso works really well and allows the Flirty Flamingo flower to really pop out from the card!

Ornate Garden Card

Hello and welcome to Part 1 of my Stampin’ Up! Ornate Garden Suite Showcase! The BRAND NEW (and utterly gorgeous) Ornate Garden Suite will be in the upcoming Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue 2020/21 but has been released early! Lucky us!

If you would prefer to watch me make the card, simply scroll to the end of this blog post where you can watch my video tutorial.

Let’s make it…

The card base is created using Highland Heather cardstock. I have then cut a slightly smaller layer of Whisper White cardstock for the main card front. I have stamped the flourishes from the Ornate Style Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black onto the card front.

I have stamped the single daisy image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock and coloured using the Highland Heather and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. The flower was fussy-cut and adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock. This is then cut out using one of the dies from the Ornate Layers Die Set. One of the larger dies was used to cut out a piece of Highland Heather cardstock and these were layered together to form the sentiment piece. This was attached to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
