Simple Stamping with Comfort & Hope

Hello and welcome to the June edition of the Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop! This month our theme is ‘Simple Stamping’. Simple Stamping is a phrase used a lot in the Stampin’ Up! world and it means just using Stamps, Ink and Paper (Cardstock). These projects are great for beginners, those without a die cutting machine, or for times when we need a beautiful card quickly! For my project I decided to pair Simple Stamping with Comfort & Hope, a brand new Stamp Set from the Stampin’ Up! 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue. I hope you like it!

Don’t forget to carry on hopping once you have read my blog post, the list of participants can be found below.

If you would prefer to watch me create the card, simply scroll to the end of this blog post where you can watch my video tutorial.

Simple Stamping Comfort & Hope Card by Helen Chapman Handmade Crafts

Let’s make it…

The (standard A6) card base is created from Crumb Cake cardstock. This is followed by a layer of Whisper White cardstock measuring 10 x 14.4 cm, which forms the main card front.

I have stamped the ‘twine loop’ in Crumb Cake ink onto the right hand side of my card front. The ‘grass’ image is then stamped repeatedly around this to form a loose wreath. I have used Mossy Meadow and Pear Pizzazz ink and used multiple generations of stamping to get a range of colour tones.

The sentiment is stamped in Mossy Meadow ink onto Whisper White cardstock which is trimmed to 2.1 x 7 cm. I have also decorated the sentiment piece with the ‘grass’ image and the ‘gems’ image, both stamped in Pear Pizzazz ink. This is layered onto a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock measuring 2.6 x 8 cm.

The final touch is provided by the ‘rhinestones’ image which is stamped in the bottom left corner in Mossy Meadow ink.

What do you think to my Simple Stamping with Comfort & Hope?

I hope you like my card. I love the Stampin’ Up! Comfort & Hope Stamp Set. It contains a wonderful mix of background stamps, some gorgeous sentiments and great focal images. I think the inclusion of stamps which look like rhinestones and gems is inspired! They are a fabulous finishing touch without adding thickness or weight to your project!

Comfort and Hope Card

Hello and welcome to Week 4 of my Grapefruit Grove Colour Challenge. If you have missed the previous challenges, you can find them here… Week 1, Week 2, Week 3. This week Grapefruit Grove is combined with Merry Merlot and Pool Party and I decided to use the upcoming Stampin’ Up! Comfort and Hope Stamp Set. I think everyone needs a Comfort and Hope Card right now!

If you would prefer to watch me create the card, simply scroll to the end of this blog post where you can watch my video tutorial.

Stampin' Up! Comfort and Hope Card

Let’s make it…

The (standard A6) card base is created from Merry Merlot cardstock. This is followed by a layer of Whisper White cardstock measuring 12.4 x 8 cm. Onto the Whisper White layer I have stamped one of the images from the Confort and Hope Stamp Set in Grapefruit Grove, Merry Merlot and Pool Party inks.

I have looped a length of Grapefruit Grove Grosgrain Ribbon and adhered it to the card front using Mini Glue Dots.

The sentiment (also from the Comfort and Hope Stamp Set) is stamped in Merry Merlot ink onto Whisper White cardstock. The rhinestones are stamped in Pool Party ink. The sentiment is cut out using the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch and layered onto a piece of Grapefruit Grove cardstock cut out with the same punch. This is then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Now I just need to decide who to send my Comfort and Hope Card to! I’m sure you can think of lots of people who deserve a paper hug!

What do you think?

I hope you have enjoyed this Comfort and Hope Card as well as this final look at the fabulous Grapefruit Grove. It will be gone forever in a week’s time! The ink pad is still available at the time of writing (for just £4.20) as well as cardstock and the 2018-2020 In Colour Stampin’ Write Markers (an absolute bargain at £5.50 – that’s 60% off!).
