Ornate Thanks Card

Welcome to week 3 of my Stampin’ Up! Pear Pizzazz Colour Challenge. If you missed weeks 1 and 2 you can find them here (week 1 and week 2).

This week I would like to share with you a card I created using the Early Release Ornate Thanks stamp set. To find out more about the Ornate Garden Suite Early Release click here.

Let’s make it…

The card base is created from Whisper White Thick cardstock. I have then taken a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper and applied water using an Aqua Painter. Using Clear Blocks as palettes, I applied Pear Pizzazz, Coastal Cabana and Flirty Flamingo ink to the wet paper and blended slightly.

Once the paper was dry, I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and cut out using one of the Ornate Layers dies. The sentiment piece was adhered to the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut a length of Bermuda Bay Mini Striped Ribbon (sorry – I thought it was Coastal Cabana at the time!), folded it in half an attached to the sentiment piece using a Mini Library Clip. To add interest and help to keep the ribbon in place, I tied a length of Silver Metallic Thread around it.

The final touch is provided with a few Basic Rhinestone Jewels.

The Ornate Garden Suite is so versatile and will be available from 1st April so keep checking back for more information. If you can’t wait until then, you could always join my team and add the Suite (or your favourite parts) to your Starter Kit! Email me for more details or click here to join.

Next time…

Next week Pear Pizzazz will be combined with Garden Green and Poppy Parade – join me then for more inspiration.

Ornate Garden Card

Stampin’ Up! have decided to release the Ornate Garden Suite early! This Suite will feature in the upcoming 2020/2021 Annual Catalogue but you don’t need to wait until then to get your hands on it!

The Suite contains two stamp and die set bundles, an embossing folder, a ribbon combo pack, some gorgeous DSP and Gilded Gems! It will be available to customers from 1st April 2020. If you can’t even wait until then, you can add the whole suite or individual items to your Starter Kit when joining my team.

Today I want to share with you the first card that I created using the Suite.

Let’s make it…

The card base is created from Mint Macaron cardstock. This is followed by a layer of Early Espresso cardstock. The main card front is a layer of the gorgeous DSP (note that this is only slightly smaller than the Early Espresso layer). When DSP is as beautiful as this it needs to take centre stage!

The sentiment is from the Ornate Thanks stamp set and is stamped in Early Espresso ink onto Mint Macaron cardstock. This is then cut out using one of the Ornate Layers dies. The sentiment piece is adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The final touch is provided by a few of the Gilded Gems. This is such a stunning card and yet takes only a few minutes to create. The impact is all thanks to the gorgeous DSP and the beautiful intricacy of the die cut.

I hope you have enjoyed this first look at the Ornate Garden Suite. If you would like to join Stampin’ Up! in order to get yours now, simply click here. Don’t forget to check back regularly for more inspiration.

Happy crafting, h x
