Here is the project that I have made for our hop today…

Let’s make it…

The (standard A6) card base is created from Whisper White Thick cardstock. This is followed by a 13.9 x 9.5 cm layer of Whisper White cardstock which is adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A number of images from the Stampin’ Up! Bloom & Grow Stamp Set are stamped onto Whisper White cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and cut out using the coordinating Budding Blooms Dies.

These die cuts are adhered between three further layers – Seaside Spray DSP (9 x 8 cm), Whisper White cardstock embossing using the Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder (9 x 6 cm) and Rococo Rose DSP (8.5 x 5.5 cm).

The tag is created using the Delightful Tag Topper Punch from a piece of Whisper White cardstock (the scallops are created using one of the Budding Blooms Dies) and a piece of Seaside Spray DSP. The sentiment is from the Bloom & Grow Stamp Set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

A length of Rococo Rose Scalloped Linen Ribbon is threaded through the top of the tag and secured using a length of Linen Thread. The tag is then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Here is my project…

Let’s make it…

The card base is created from Very Vanilla Thick cardstock and this is followed by a layer of Pretty Peacock cardstock. Next I have used a layer of Very Vanilla cardstock which has been embossed using the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder.

I have stamped the large leaf from the Stampin’ Up! Rooted In Nature Stamp Set in Crumb Cake, Terracotta Tile and Pretty Peacock inks. These are cut out and embossed using the coordinating dies from the Nature’s Roots Dies. These are attached to the embossed cardstock layer using a Metallic Brad.

The triple leaf stamp is stamped onto Very Vanilla cardstock in Crumb Cake ink and I have used ‘multi-generation’ stamping to achieve different tones. This is cut out using the large label from the Stitched Labels Dies. I have adhered one of the Leaves Trinkets to the label using a Mini Glue Dot.

The small leaf stamp is stamped onto Very Vanilla cardstock in Terracotta Tile ink, again using multiple generations. This is cut out using the long label from the Stitched Labels Dies. This is adhered to the first label using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment and the foliage image are stamped in Pretty Peacock ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock and cut out using the circular label from the Stitched Labels Dies. This is adhered to the second label using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I think the different layers and textures give this card a really luxurious feel – I hope you like it! If you have any questions or comments, please leave them below or email me at helen@papercraftlife.com

Come Sail Away Notecard

Thank you for joining us for our Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Monthly Team Blog Hop! We are so happy that you could join us today for this blog hop full of ideas and inspiration. We are a group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world that are taking part in training that is helping us to build a successful Stampin’ Up! business and reach some goals we have set. Here is the project that I have made for our hop today…

Let’s make it…

I decided to use up one of my remaining Stampin’ Up! Thin Notecards but a piece of Whisper White Thick cardstock would do the job just the same! The dimensions are 12.7 x 11.4cm, scored at 6.3cm on the long edge.

The main card front is created from a sheet of the Come Sail Away DSP which I trimmed to 5 x 9cm and used the 0.5″ Circle punch to make notches in each end. These notches help to hold in place a length of Night of Navy / Sahara Sand Baker’s Twine. The card front was then adhered to the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the anchor image from the Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home stamp set in Night of Navy ink onto Whisper White cardstock and cut out using the coordinating die. A small length of the Baker’s Twine was also tied through the hole in the anchor. This was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment is stamped in Night of Navy ink onto Sahara Sand cardstock and cut out with the label die from the Stampin’ Up! Smooth Sailing dies. One of the Sail Away Trinkets was adhered to the back of the sentiment piece using a Mini Glue Dot and the whole thing adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To create the envelope I used the Thin Notecard Envelope as a template and increased the dimensions slightly to account for the Dimensionals used on the card.

I stamped the compass image in Night of Navy ink onto Sahara Sand cardstock and cut out using the 1.5″ Circle punch. This was adhered to the envelope using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and embellished using one of the Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots. I also adhered the rope die cut to the left hand side of the envelope.

The sentiment (from Power of Hope) is stamped in Night of Navy ink onto Whisper White cardstock and cut out using the banner die. I tied a length of the Baker’s Twine through another one of the Trinkets and adhered it to the back of the sentiment piece using a Mini Glue Dot. The whole thing was then adhered to the envelope using a double height of Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Next… send it!

I think this would make a great card for someone who is embarking on a new challenge or journey. It wishes them luck whilst encouraging them to follow their dreams.

Heartfelt Masculine Card

Thank you for joining us for our Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Monthly Team Blog Hop! We are so happy that you could join us today for this blog hop full of ideas and inspiration. We are a group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world that are taking part in training that is helping us to build a successful Stampin’ Up! business and reach some goals we have set. We really appreciate your support.

You may be starting here or you may have come from another blog – either way you can find the link list at the bottom of this post so that you can see every blog post and idea today.

Here is the project that I have made for our hop today…

I have used the Stampin’ Up! Heartfelt Stamp Set and coordinating punches to create this masculine Valentine’s Day card.

Let’s make it…

The card base is created from Whisper White Thick cardstock. I then cut a smaller layer of Whisper White cardstock and embossed it using the Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder. Using a Night of Navy Stampin’ Write Marker, I created ‘splatters’ down the left hand side of the card. I think this adds a little extra interest and stops the card from looking too stark.

Using the plain punch (non-scalloped) from the Heart Punch pack, I cut four hearts from 6×6″ Neutrals Designer Series Paper (two each of Sahara Sand and Night of Navy). I then adhered these down the right hand side of the card front.

I wrapped a length of Night of Navy / Sahara Sand Baker’s Twine around the card front and adhered behind using Tear & Tape. The card front was then adhered to the card base.

Finally, I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink onto Sahara Sand cardstock and cut out using the heart punch. This was then adhered using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I think the use of Sahara Sand cardstock rather than Whisper White here gives a more distressed look and helps with the masculine feel of the card.
