Let’s make it…

The (standard A6) card base is created from Granny Apple Green cardstock. This is followed by a 10 x 14.4 cm layer of Mango Melody cardstock. The main card front is a piece of Whisper White cardstock measuring 9.5 x 13.9 cm.

One of the leaf images from the Stampin’ Up! Lovely You Stamp Set is stamped multiple times onto the card front in Granny Apple Green ink. One of the flower images from the same stamp set is stamped multiple times in both Mango Melody and Daffodil Delight inks.

The Lovely You Stamp Set is perfect for creating these backgrounds!

A piece of Tear & Tape is adhered across the card front and a length of Whisper White Faux Linen Ribbon (from the Stampin’ Up! Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack) is looped back and forth.

The sentiment is stamped in Granny Apple Green ink onto Whisper White cardstock. This is trimmed to 7.1 x 2.5 cm and then the top section is fussy-cut to followed the shape of the text. This is adhered to a piece of Mango Melody cardstock measuring 3.8 x 9.5 cm. The whole sentiment piece is adhered to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Customer Thank You Cards

Hello and welcome! I recently held an Online Catalogue Launch with two fellow Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. It was great fun and a great success so now it’s time to send out the customer thank you cards to all those who ordered during the event.

I decided to use the Stampin’ Up! Lovely You Bundle…

Let’s make it…

Because I needed to make quite a few cards I decided to use the Very Vanilla Note Cards and Envelopes. I then cut a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock to 8 x 8cm and stamped the flower and foliage images. I used the Stamparatus to achieve this effect.

If you would like more information I will be recording a video tutorial about using the Stamparatus this week which will be available on my You Tube channel from 09:00 on Monday 15th June.

The flowers are stamped in Calypso Coral ink and the foliage in Old Olive ink. I think this combination works really well on Very Vanilla. This piece is then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The sentiment just had to be ‘wildly grateful’ since these are customer thank you cards! This is stamped in Old Olive ink onto a strip of Very Vanilla cardstock measuring 8 x 1.9 cm. The end of this strip was then shaped using the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch. A 2.5cm wide strip of Calypso Coral cardstock was shaped using the same punch.

The Very Vanilla sentiment strip was adhered to the Calypso Coral strip using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and trimmed to size using Paper Snips. The whole piece was then adhered to the card using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

What do you think?

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my customer thank you cards and more inspiration using the Stampin’ Up! Lovely You Bundle.

Tone-on-Tone Stamping With Lovely You

Hello and welcome! Today I wanted to share with you a card made using the Tone-on-Tone Stamping Technique. I have used the Stampin’ Up! Lovely You Bundle (available from 3rd June 2020 – or before if you Join My Team!).

If you would prefer to watch me create the card, simply scroll to the end of this blog post where you can watch my video tutorial.

This card was inspired by a Global Design Project Colour Challenge. Click the link to find out more, see the other entries or take part!

Tone-on-Tone stamping involves using stamping with a particular colour of ink onto the same colour of cardstock. It’s a great way to add subtle patterns or text to a background. Here’s my card…

Tone-on-tone stamping using Stampin' Up! Lovely You Stamp Set

Let’s make it…

The (standard A6) card base is created from Whisper White Thick cardstock. Next I have used a 14.4 x 10 cm piece of Pretty Peacock which I have stamped one of the foliage images onto using Pretty Peacock ink. The technique is repeated on pieces of Soft Sea Foam (8.4 x 10 cm) and Blushing Bride (11.4 x 5 cm) cardstock using foliage and flower stamps from the same Stamp Set. These pieces are all layered together as shown.

The sentiment is stamped in Pretty Peacock ink onto a 0.75″ strip of Whisper White cardstock and cut out using the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch. A 1″ strip of Pretty Peacock is also cut out with the punch. These are layered together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and adhered to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Tone-on-tone stamping using Stampin' Up! Lovely You Stamp Set

The final touch is provided by a few of the 2019-2021 In Colour Faceted Dots.

What do you think?

I think tone-on-tone stamping is a great technique for adding subtle patterns to plain cardstock. It really lends itself to making quick and simple cards which look amazing. Why not try it with a sentiment?

I’m already in love with this punch too! Six different labels from one punch – wow!
