Love What You Do Card

Today I wanted to share with you the cards I create as my swaps for the latest Stampin’ Up! Team Meeting I attended. The swap theme was Floral and I decided to use the Love What You Do Stamp Set because we sometimes forget the Annual Catalogue in the excitement of the Mini Catalogue and Sale-A-Bration. I love swapping inspiration at Team Meetings because you receive projects using products you don’t have and in styles different to your own. I keep all the swaps I receive to use for future inspiration and to show my customers.

Let’s make it…

The card base was created from Whisper White Thick cardstock. I then heat embossed the ‘It’s a Beautiful Day’ sentiment multiple times in gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder, directly onto the card base.

For the main card front, I cut a piece of Rich Razzleberry cardstock and a slightly smaller piece of Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper. I heat embossed the floral image in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder onto the watercolour paper.

I wet the watercolour paper using an Aqua Painter and then used a Clear Block as a palette to apply Rich Razzleberry ink, also using the Aqua Painter, over and around the flower image. Once dry the watercolour paper was then layered onto the Rich Razzleberry cardstock and then onto the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The final touch is provided with a few Gold Metallic Pearls.

Watercolouring is such an effective technique and it is deceptively simple to create a basic watercolour wash. Why not grab some Fluid 100 and give it a go yourself?

Ornate Garden Card

Stampin’ Up! have decided to release the Ornate Garden Suite early! This Suite will feature in the upcoming 2020/2021 Annual Catalogue but you don’t need to wait until then to get your hands on it!

The Suite contains two stamp and die set bundles, an embossing folder, a ribbon combo pack, some gorgeous DSP and Gilded Gems! It will be available to customers from 1st April 2020. If you can’t even wait until then, you can add the whole suite or individual items to your Starter Kit when joining my team.

Today I want to share with you the first card that I created using the Suite.

Let’s make it…

The card base is created from Mint Macaron cardstock. This is followed by a layer of Early Espresso cardstock. The main card front is a layer of the gorgeous DSP (note that this is only slightly smaller than the Early Espresso layer). When DSP is as beautiful as this it needs to take centre stage!

The sentiment is from the Ornate Thanks stamp set and is stamped in Early Espresso ink onto Mint Macaron cardstock. This is then cut out using one of the Ornate Layers dies. The sentiment piece is adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The final touch is provided by a few of the Gilded Gems. This is such a stunning card and yet takes only a few minutes to create. The impact is all thanks to the gorgeous DSP and the beautiful intricacy of the die cut.

I hope you have enjoyed this first look at the Ornate Garden Suite. If you would like to join Stampin’ Up! in order to get yours now, simply click here. Don’t forget to check back regularly for more inspiration.

Team Meeting Insight

Today I wanted to share an insight into our Stampin’ Up! Team Meetings. These are events that I look forward to every month. Not only is it a chance to catch up with friends but its such a source of inspiration and motivation – both in terms of creativity and business building.

Each month we give and receive swaps; we craft ‘make & takes’; we discuss business topics and chat over coffee. There is also time to recognise people’s achievements and one of the Team Members will give a demonstration.

Its great to come away with samples using Stampin’ Up! products that you don’t have and projects created in a different style to your own.

It’s wonderful to be a part of such a fabulous team. I always feel supported and I strive to improve my business for myself, but also for them. There is nothing like spending time with people who have similar interests and who are rooting for you to succeed.

If you think you would like to be a part of this you should consider joining my team. There is no better time than during the Sale-A-Bration promotion. Why not contact me and ask any questions you might have? You could be part of this wonderful community; build your own business or simply enjoy the other benefits (including DISCOUNTS!).
