Today I wanted to share with you the cards I create as my swaps for the latest Stampin’ Up! Team Meeting I attended. The swap theme was Floral and I decided to use the Love What You Do Stamp Set because we sometimes forget the Annual Catalogue in the excitement of the Mini Catalogue and Sale-A-Bration. I love swapping inspiration at Team Meetings because you receive projects using products you don’t have and in styles different to your own. I keep all the swaps I receive to use for future inspiration and to show my customers.

Let’s make it…
The card base was created from Whisper White Thick cardstock. I then heat embossed the ‘It’s a Beautiful Day’ sentiment multiple times in gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder, directly onto the card base.
For the main card front, I cut a piece of Rich Razzleberry cardstock and a slightly smaller piece of Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper. I heat embossed the floral image in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder onto the watercolour paper.
I wet the watercolour paper using an Aqua Painter and then used a Clear Block as a palette to apply Rich Razzleberry ink, also using the Aqua Painter, over and around the flower image. Once dry the watercolour paper was then layered onto the Rich Razzleberry cardstock and then onto the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
The final touch is provided with a few Gold Metallic Pearls.
Watercolouring is such an effective technique and it is deceptively simple to create a basic watercolour wash. Why not grab some Fluid 100 and give it a go yourself?
