Age Cards for Kids

Hello and welcome! Today I’d like to share with you a card created using the Stampin’ Up! Family Party Stamp Set. I love this stamp set for making age cards for kids but it can be used for all ages and allows for some great personalisation. It pairs perfectly with the Pattern Play Bundle that we looked at yesterday too!

Let’s make it…

The (standard A6) card base is created from Pacific Point cardstock. This is followed by a layer of Silver Foil Sheet measuring 10 x 14.4 cm. Next is a layer of Whisper White cardstock measuring 9.5 x 13.9 cm which forms the main card front.

Onto the card front I stamped the numbers 1 to 8 in Pacific Point ink. I also stamped the stars images repeatedly around the edge of the card front in Bermuda Bay ink.

The stars are also heat embossed in Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder and finally, I have framed the number 8 by heat embossing one of the Swirly Frames around it.

Do you like to make Age Cards for Kids?

Age Cards for Kids are great because they love the feeling that they are growing up! I tried to emphasise that on this card by including the numbers below 8, and framing the 8. The Family Party Stamp Set also contains ‘Daughter’, ‘Husband’, ‘Brother’ etc. along with phrases such as ‘To a wonderful’ and ‘For a special’ which means you can create so many cards for so many different people! Try pairing it with the Pattern Play Bundle for even more possibilities!

Bonanza Buddies Card

Hello and welcome to the fourth and final part of my Stampin’ Up! Birthday Bonanza Suite Showcase. If you have missed the previous instalments you can find them here (part 1 – gift tag, part 2 – cards, part 3 – cake toppers).

This week I wanted to share with you a really fun peek-a-boo card which would be perfect for a child’s birthday. It features the three cute characters from the Bonanza Buddies stamp set and is wonderfully colourful but easy to create. I hope you like it!

Let’s make it…

The card base is created from Whisper White Thick cardstock and I have rounded the corners using the Detailed Trio Punch. The windows were created using the 2″ (lion and koala) and 2.25″ (toucan) Circle Punches to allow the characters to ‘peek’ through.

All three characters are stamped onto Whisper White cardstock and cut out using the coordinating Bonanza Dies. The koala is stamped in Smoky Slate ink with Memento Tuxedo Black features; the toucan is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink with a Mango Melody beak; and the lion is stamped in Daffodil Delight ink with a Mango Melody mane and Memento Tuxedo Black features.

The characters were adhered to the inside of the card such that they ‘peek’ through the windows. The excess cardstock was removed using Paper Snips.

I have decorated the card front using the feature colours from the Suite – Terracotta Tile, Grapefruit Grove, Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay.I have decorated the card front using the feature colours from the Suite – Terracotta Tile, Grapefruit Grove, Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay.

The sentiment is stamped in Bermuda Bay ink onto Whisper White cardstock and cut out using the 2″ Circle Punch. I have also decorated the sentiment piece using the balloon stamp, again using the feature colours. This is then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals to give the final touch to this simple but fun card.
