Playing With Patterns Gift Box

Hello and welcome to part 3 of my Stampin’ Up! Playing With Patterns Suite Showcase. If you missed parts 1 and 2 you can find them here… part 1, part 2. Today I am sharing with you a Playing With Patterns Gift Box made using the Mini Paper Pumpkin Boxes which you can find on Page 152 of your 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue.

In Parts 1 and 2 we have concentrated on the Pattern Play Stamp Set and Playful Alphabet Dies from the Suite. Today, we are adding in the Playing With Patterns Designer Series Paper (DSP). This paper pack is just so bright and cheerful! It’s great for all ages and perfect for those who love pattern and colour.

Let’s take a look at today’s project…

Stampin' Up! Playing With Patterns Gift Box by Helen Chapman Handmade Crafts

Let’s make it…

Start by assembling your Mini Paper Pumpkin Box. The score lines are already there for you and you don’t need any adhesive for this bit.

The band is created from a piece of Purple Posy cardstock measuring 14 x 26.2 cm. The long edge is scored at 2.8, 12.6, 15.4 and 25.2 cm. Once I had folded and burnished the score lines, I applied Tear & Tape to the 1cm tab and adhered the band together.

With the band in place around the box, I adhered a piece of the DSP (measuring 13.5 x 9.3 cm) to the top.

The ‘Just For’ sentiment is stamped in Night of Navy ink onto Purple Posy cardstock and cut out using the Stitched Shapes Dies. The stamp is from the Meant To Be Stamp Set and I masked off the ‘you’ so that I could recreate that using the dies. The circle is adhered to the DSP using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The ‘y’, ‘o’ and ‘u’ are cut out of DSP using the Playful Alphabet Dies. These are then adhered to Coastal Cabana cardstock circles cut out using the Stitched Shapes Dies. These are then adhered to the box using Foam Adhesive Strips.

The final touch is provided by a length of Purple Posy Ribbon from the Playing With Patterns Ribbon Combo Pack which I have tied around the finished box.

What do you think to my Playing With Patterns Gift Box?

I hope you like my Playing With Patterns Gift Box. These Mini Paper Pumpkin Boxes are great for little gifts and they also fit the Stampin’ Up! Note Cards & Envelopes perfectly! This means you could add a note card in with your gift or you could even use the box to gift a set of beautiful note cards!

Here is the project that I have made for our hop today… I’m calling it my Just (For You) Jade Card!

Just (For You) Jade Card featuring the Stampin' Up! Meant To Be Stamp Set - Card by Helen Chapman Handmade Crafts

Let’s make it…

The (standard A6) card base is created from Whisper White Thick cardstock. This is followed by a layer of Just Jade cardstock measuring 10 x 14.4 cm. For the main card front I have used a layer of Whisper White cardstock measuring 9.5 x 13.9 cm.

Onto the card front I have stamped the ornate heart image from the Stampin’ Up! Meant To Be Stamp Set repeatedly in Just Jade ink.

A length of Just Jade Gingham Ribbon has been doubled over and secured using a length of Misty Moonlight / Silver Baker’s Twine (these are both part of the Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack). This has then been adhered to the card front using a small piece of Tear & Tape.

The sentiment (also from the Meant To Be Stamp Set) is stamped in Misty Moonlight ink onto Whisper White cardstock and cut out using one of the Tasteful Labels Dies. This is adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. One of the Stitched Be Mine Heart Dies has been used to cut out a piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock which has then been adhered to the sentiment piece using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I hope you have enjoyed reading about my Just (For You) Jade Card. If you have any questions or comments please leave them below or email me at helen@papercraftlife.com

I think the colour combination of Whisper White, Just Jade and Misty Moonlight is wonderfully fresh and clean and would be appropriate for so many different types of card.

SU Rooted in Nature Card

Thank you for joining us for our Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Monthly Team Blog Hop! We are so happy that you could join us today for this blog hop for ideas and inspiration. We are a group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world that are taking part in training that is helping us to build a successful Stampin’ Up! business and reach some goals we have set. We really appreciate your support.

You may be starting here or you may have come from another blog – either way you can find the link list at the bottom of this post so that you can see every blog post and idea today.

If you would prefer to watch me create the card simply scroll to the end of this blog post where you can watch my video tutorial.

Here is my project…

Let’s make it…

The card base is created from Very Vanilla Thick cardstock and this is followed by a layer of Pretty Peacock cardstock. Next I have used a layer of Very Vanilla cardstock which has been embossed using the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder.

I have stamped the large leaf from the Stampin’ Up! Rooted In Nature Stamp Set in Crumb Cake, Terracotta Tile and Pretty Peacock inks. These are cut out and embossed using the coordinating dies from the Nature’s Roots Dies. These are attached to the embossed cardstock layer using a Metallic Brad.

The triple leaf stamp is stamped onto Very Vanilla cardstock in Crumb Cake ink and I have used ‘multi-generation’ stamping to achieve different tones. This is cut out using the large label from the Stitched Labels Dies. I have adhered one of the Leaves Trinkets to the label using a Mini Glue Dot.

The small leaf stamp is stamped onto Very Vanilla cardstock in Terracotta Tile ink, again using multiple generations. This is cut out using the long label from the Stitched Labels Dies. This is adhered to the first label using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment and the foliage image are stamped in Pretty Peacock ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock and cut out using the circular label from the Stitched Labels Dies. This is adhered to the second label using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I think the different layers and textures give this card a really luxurious feel – I hope you like it! If you have any questions or comments, please leave them below or email me at helen@papercraftlife.com
