How to make a Hot Dog I Love You card!

Hello and welcome to the January edition of the Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop! This month our theme is ‘Love and Hugs’. Apparently it’s National Hug Day on 21st January (who knew that was a thing?). I decided to use the super cute ‘Hot Dog’ stamp set from the new January – June 2021 Mini Catalogue. I hope you like my Hot Dog I Love You card. Don’t forget to hop around and see all the inspiration we have for you on this theme!

Let’s make it…

The (standard A6) card base is created from Basic White thick cardstock. This is followed by a layer of Bermuda Bay cardstock measuring 10 x 14.4cm.

Cut a layer of Basic White cardstock to 9.5 x 13.9 cm and stamp the two dogs at the bottom using Night of Navy ink. Stamp the heart between them in Real Red ink.

Wrap a length of Denim Ribbon around the Whisper White layer on secure on the reverse using Tear & Tape.

Cut the heart and letters ‘I’ and ‘U’ from Bermuda Bay cardstock using the Playful Alphabet and Be Mine Stitched Die Sets. Adhere these elements above the ribbon using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stamp the remaining sentiment in Night of Navy ink onto Basic White cardstock and cut out using the Stitched So Sweetly Die Set. Adhere this to the ribbon using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

What do you think to my interpretation of the theme?

I hope you enjoyed finding out how to make this card. These sausage dogs are just so cute. The stamp set contains lots of small elements to enable you to personalise the dogs and build up scenes. I’m going to be using this set a lot!
