Let’s Make It…

The (standard A6) card base is created from Soft Suede cardstock. The next layer is a piece of Whisper White cardstock measuring 13.9 x 9.5 cm.

Stamp the large tree in Soft Suede ink into the centre of the Whisper White layer. Cut this out using the coordinating die from the Nature’s Roots Die Set.

Use the (approx.) 7.6 x 11 cm Stitched Rectangle Die to cut a frame from the remaining piece of Whisper White cardstock. You should now have three pieces – the tree, the stitched frame (with the tree cut out of it) and the outer frame (with the rectangle cut out of it).

Emboss the outer frame using the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder. Adhere this to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Adhere the stitched frame to the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Apply Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the back of the tree die cut and carefully place it into the aperture in the raised frame.

Stamp the sentiment onto Whisper White cardstock in Soft Suede ink and cut out using the (approx.) 2.2 x 7.3 cm Stitched Rectangle Die. Cut a small length of Copper Metallic Ribbon (from the Basket Weave & Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack) and adhere at the back of the sentiment piece using Tear & Tape. Cut another small length of the ribbon, thread it through one of the Acorn Trinkets and tie to the first piece of ribbon. Adhere the sentiment piece to the raised frame using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I think this card is a fabulous combination of clean and simple with a few great techniques thrown in. The Whisper White and Soft Suede colour scheme works so well with the copper embellishments.

Let’s Make It…

Create a (standard A6) card base from Very Vanilla Thick cardstock. Follow this with a layer of Early Espresso cardstock measuring 10 x 14.4 cm. Create your main card front with a 9.5 x 13.9 cm layer of Very Vanilla cardstock.

Punch out the leaves from Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie and Crushed Curry cardstock. Adhere these to the right hand edge of the card front.

Stamp the ‘hey there’ sentiment in Early Espresso ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock. Cut out the sentiment using the banner die from the Tasteful Labels Dies. Cut another banner from Copper Brushed Metallic cardstock and adhere the banners together with an offset.

Adhere the sentiment to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

What do you think to my Changing Leaves with Beautiful Autumn Card?

I hope you like my Changing Leaves with Beautiful Autumn Card. I love this combination of earthy colours with the hint of metallic cardstock. I think Very Vanilla works really well with these colours and is definitely my go-to card base / card front when using these tones.

Gilded Autumn Suite Card

Hello and welcome to the first part of a brand new Stampin’ Up! Suite Showcase. This month I will be featuring the Gilded Autumn Suite which consists of a Stamp Set and Punches Bundle, Speciality Designer Series Paper, Brushed Metallic Cardstock (wow), Acorn Trinkets (super cute) and the most gorgeous ribbon combo I have ever seen (seriously)! We are starting with this Gilded Autumn Suite Card…

Let’s make it…

The (standards A6) card base is created from Crumb Cake cardstock. Then use the three largest Rectangle Stitched Dies as follows: cut out a piece of Early Espresso cardstock using the largest die; cut an aperture in this to create a frame using the third smallest dies; cut out a piece of the Gilded Autumn DSP using the second largest die. This will allow you to adhere the DSP to the frame. Adhere the whole piece to the card front.

Stamp the leaves and acorn onto Crumb Cake and Cajun Craze cardstock using Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze and Early Espresso ink. Cut these elements out using the coordinating punches. Adhere these around the frame.

Using Tear & Tape, adhere a length of the Mint Macaron Basket Weave Ribbon to the DSP. Stamp the sentiment onto Crumb Cake cardstock in Early Espresso ink. Cut out the sentiment piece using one of the smaller Stitched Rectangle Dies.

What do you think to my Gilded Autumn Suite Card?

I hope you like my Stampin’ Up! Gilded Autumn Suite Card. This is such a gorgeous Suite which is great for Autumn Birthdays as well as many other occassions. The Suite colours also help to make it really versatile with the neutrals and earthy Cajun Craze contrasting beautifully with the hint of Mint Macaron.
