Hello and welcome! If you have followed my blog for a while you may have noticed that my card tend to be either really simple or have lots of layers and texture. That’s because I love both styles but also because we simply have more time to spend on some cards than on others.
What’s important to me, though, is that even the quick and simple cards should have some sort of positive impact (joy, hope or comfort, etc.) to the recipient.
Today’s project features the Stampin’ Up! Painted Poppies Stamp Set…
Let’s make it…
The (standard A6) card base is created from Basic Black cardstock and this is followed by a layer of Whisper White cardstock measuring 10 x 14.4 cm.
Onto the bottom of the Whisper White layer I have stamped the image of multiple poppies twice in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. One of the poppies has been coloured with the Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends.
The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set and is stamped onto Poppy Parade cardstock in Stazon Jet Black ink. I find that Stazon works better for small, delicate sentiments. The sentiment piece is cut out using one of the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and adhered to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
What do you think?
I hope you like my project. If you have any questions or comments please leave them below or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
