How to make a Family Party Birthday Card

Hello and welcome to Week 2 of my Stampin’ Up! Misty Moonlight Colour Challenge. This week’s colour combination is Misty Moonlight, Balmy Blue and Petal Pink. I’m going to show you how to make a Family Party Birthday Card.

Let’s Make It… Family Party Birthday Card

Start with a (standard A6) card base created from Misty Moonlight cardstock. Follow this with a layer of Whisper White cardstock measuring 10 x 14.4 cm. This will form the card front.

Onto the card front, stamp the presents from the Stampin’ Up! Family Party Stamp Set in both Petal Pink and Balmy Blue ink. Add the decorations and bows by stamping in Misty Moonlight ink. Fill any unwanted white-space by stamping the star cluster in Misty Moonlight ink.

Stamp the sentiment onto Petal Pink cardstock in Misty Moonlight ink. I have used the ‘Happy Birthday’ sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Pallet Thoughts Stamp Set. Cut out the sentiment using the banner from the Stampin’ Up! Tasteful Labels Dies. Cut another banner from Balmy Blue cardstock and layer these together. Adhere the banners to the card front using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

What do you think to my Family Party Birthday Card?

I hope you enjoyed finding out how to make this Family Party Birthday Card. Misty Moonlight is still my favourite of the 2020-2022 In Colours and I think it looks great combined with Balmy Blue and Petal Pink. I’m sure I’ll be using this colour combination again in the near future.

Make A Beautiful ‘Jar of Flowers’ Shaker Card with Personalisation

Hello and welcome! Today I’d like to share with you a great way of personalising your Stampin’ Up! Jar of Flowers cards by putting the person’s initial in the Shaker Dome! This personalised Mason Jar Shaker card was made for my Grandma to give to my Mam for her birthday…

Personalised mason jar shaker card by Helen Chapman Handmade Crafts using the Stampin' Up! Jar of Flowers Bundle

Let’s Make This Personalised Mason Jar Shaker Card…

Start with a (standard A6) Magenta Madness card base. Next cut a layer of Whisper White cardstock measuring 10 x 14.4 cm. Use the Jar Punch to cut an aperture into the layer. I used a pencil to mark the 5cm point across the cardstock in a couple of places and pushed the Whisper White as far as possible into the punch.

Stamp the flower image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colour using Stampin’ Blends Markers. I have used Magenta Madness, Just Jade, Highland Heather and Daffodil Delight.

Stamp the ‘Happy Birthday’ sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink into the top corner of the card front. I used the sentiment from the Family Party Stamp Set. Stamp the second part of the sentiment onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock – I used ‘To a wonderful Daughter’ from the same stamp set. Cut this out using the Stitched Rectangle Dies. Adhere to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stick the Mason Jar Shaker Dome to the Whisper White cardstock layer such that the dome fits into the aperture. Cut the person’s initial out of coordinating cardstock using the Playful Alphabet Dies. I have used Magenta Madness, Just Jade, Highland Heather and Daffodil Delight to tie in with my colouring. Pop the letters into the dome and carefully adhere the card front and dome to the card base.

Apply a few 2020-2022 In Colour Enamel Dots for the finishing touch.

What do you think to my Personalised Mason Jar Shaker Card?

I hope you like my Personalised Mason Jar Shaker Card. This card would look great in so many different colour combinations. I hope this gives you a few ideas about using Shaker Domes in different ways.

Age Cards for Kids

Hello and welcome! Today I’d like to share with you a card created using the Stampin’ Up! Family Party Stamp Set. I love this stamp set for making age cards for kids but it can be used for all ages and allows for some great personalisation. It pairs perfectly with the Pattern Play Bundle that we looked at yesterday too!

Let’s make it…

The (standard A6) card base is created from Pacific Point cardstock. This is followed by a layer of Silver Foil Sheet measuring 10 x 14.4 cm. Next is a layer of Whisper White cardstock measuring 9.5 x 13.9 cm which forms the main card front.

Onto the card front I stamped the numbers 1 to 8 in Pacific Point ink. I also stamped the stars images repeatedly around the edge of the card front in Bermuda Bay ink.

The stars are also heat embossed in Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder and finally, I have framed the number 8 by heat embossing one of the Swirly Frames around it.

Do you like to make Age Cards for Kids?

Age Cards for Kids are great because they love the feeling that they are growing up! I tried to emphasise that on this card by including the numbers below 8, and framing the 8. The Family Party Stamp Set also contains ‘Daughter’, ‘Husband’, ‘Brother’ etc. along with phrases such as ‘To a wonderful’ and ‘For a special’ which means you can create so many cards for so many different people! Try pairing it with the Pattern Play Bundle for even more possibilities!

Family Party Niece Card

Hello and welcome! Today I like to share with you my Stampin’ Up! Family Party Niece Card. The Family Party Stamp Set is wonderful – it has numbers and family member titles as well as stars and a cute little present. This makes it a really versatile stamp set which can be used on its own or paired with other sets to provide a level of personalisation.

Stampin' Up! Family Party Stamp Set

As you can see I have created a birthday card for a niece but there are so many possibilities with this set.

Let’s make it…

The (standard A6) card base is created from Whisper White Thick cardstock. This is followed by a layer of Smoky Slate cardstock measuring 10 x 14.4 cm. Next is a layer of Whisper White cardstock which forms the main card front – this measures 9.5 x 13.9 cm.

I have stamped ‘happy birthday’ repeatedly across the card front in Smoky Slate ink. I have interspersed this with the star images which are stamped in Flirty Flamingo ink.

‘Niece’ is stamped onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock in Flirty Flamingo ink and is cut out using the banner from the Tasteful Labels Dies. The present is stamped in Flirty Flaming ink and the decoration and bow in Smoky Slate ink. I have fussy cut this and adhered to the banner. This whole piece is adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensional.

The final touch is provided by a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels which add sparkle but also help draw the eye to the ‘niece’ stamp.

What do you think to my Family Party Niece Card?

I hope you like my Family Party Niece Card and can see how useful this Stamp Set is to have in your crafty stash. You could step up this card further by including an age if it was a milestone birthday!
