Let’s Make It…

Create a (standard A6) card base from Coastal Cabana cardstock. Follow this with a layer of Playing With Patterns Designer Series Paper (DSP) measuring 10 x 14.4 cm.

Punch three dogs (from Coastal Cabana, Melon Mambo and Gorgeous Grape cardstock) using the Dog Builder Punch. Arrange the dogs and hearts across the card front.

Use the same three colours to cut out the letters for personalising the card. Adhere these along the top of the card front.

Dog Builder Punch Card

Hello and welcome! I admit I was disappointed when the Stampin’ Up! Happy Tails Stamp Set retired BUT the good news was that new got to keep the Dog Builder Punch! I come from a family of dog lovers and both my Mum and I volunteer at our local rescue centres. So, this year, Father’s Day just had to involve a Dog Builder Punch Card!

Let’s make it…

The (standard A6) card base is created from Crumb Cake cardstock. This is followed by a layer of the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper (DSP) measuring 10 x 14.4 cm. The main card front is a layer of Crumb Cake cardstock measuring 9.5 x 13.9 cm.

The Dog Builder Punch is used to cut apertures in the card front – one from the front and one from the back such that the dogs are facing one another.

The ‘Father’s Day’ sentiment is from the Stampin’ Up! Well Said Stamp Set and is stamped in Early Espresso ink onto Crumb Cake cardstock. It is then cut out using the banner from the Stampin’ Up! Tasteful Labels Dies.

The ‘Happy’ sentiment is from the same stamp set and is heat embossed in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder onto a small piece of the DSP. This is also cut out using the banner from the Tasteful Labels Dies. The two banners are adhered to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
