Pine Tree Punch Garland!

In the first part of my Stampin’ Up! Perfectly Plaid bundle showcase I went all out with the glimmer paper to create a really sparkly Christmas card. You can read the blog post here.

This week I have a really cute home décor idea for you (and a little bonus project at the end!). We all love a good garland, right?! Well, take a look at this Christmas Tree garland using the Pine Tree Punch. Its so simple to make but it looks fabulously festive.

I have used the Wrapped in Plaid DSP which I think works perfectly. But I’m sure it would look great stamped in different colours or using some of the other gorgeous DSP in the new Stampin’ Up! Autumn / Winter catalogue.

Let’s make it…

To make it easier to attach the trees to the Whisper White Baker’s Twine, I folded the DSP in half and then punched. Make sure the fold is towards the top of the tree but slightly inside the punch outline. This will effectively give you two trees joined at the top.

Lay out a length of Whisper White Baker’s Twine and slip the trees on so that the twine sits in the crease. Apply Multipurpose Liquid Glue to one of the trees, fold over and adhere. Repeat at regular intervals to produce your garland.

Bonus idea…

Here’s another quick and simple project that will help to create a Christmas-y atmosphere around your home. Why not punch out the Pine Trees and use to decorate a candle? Obviously, battery operated tea lights are the safest option, but this is what I had at hand!
