Stampin' Up! Gilded Autumn Gift Bag by Helen Chapman Handmade Crafts

Hello and welcome to Part 3 of my Stampin’ Up! Gilded Autumn Suite Showcase. Today I’m going to show you how to make this stunning Gilded Autumn gift bag with matching tag. If you missed the first two instalments of this showcase, you can find them here… Part 1 and Part 2.

As you may have guessed, this bag was made for my Mam! It’s her birthday at the end of the month and I wanted a cute bag to put some of her gifts in. As usual, she’ll see her presents here before she sees them in real life – sorry Mam!

Let’s Make It…

Start with a sheet of the Gilded Autumn Speciality Designer Series Paper (DSP). I chose the Mint Macaron sheet with Copper foil foliage because the foiling really makes it feel special.

Score the DSP at 10, 14.5, 24.5 and 29 cm. Rotate through 90 degrees and score at 5, 25 and 29 cm. Check whether your DSP sheet has a particular orientation before scoring! Fold along all score lines.

Snip up the score lines at the bottom of the DSP to meet the horizontal score line. Create tabs by snipping off small triangles.

Assemble the bag using Tear & Tape on the 1cm tabs and on the bottom of the bag. Squeeze the top of the bag together to close. Punch holes in the top of the bag for the ribbon.

Create the tag using a 10 x 5 cm piece of Mint Macaron Cardstock. Shape the tag using the Detailed Trio and Scalloped Tag Topper Punches. Decorate with elements punched from the DSP using the Autumn Punch Pack. Cut the letters (Playful Alphabet Dies) from Copper Brushed Metallic Cardstock using the Foam Adhesive Sheets.

Tie the tag to the bag using the Copper Metallic Ribbon and embellish with one of the Acorn Trinkets.

Finally, fill with goodies and gift to someone who deserves Speciality DSP for their gift wrap!
