This week I wanted to show that Frosted Foliage is not just for Christmas and doesn’t need to involve Balmy Blue or Night of Navy! With that in mind I have used a colour scheme of Very Vanilla and Soft Suede. I hope you like it!
Let’s make it…
The card base is created from Very Vanilla Thick cardstock and I have followed this with a smaller layer of Soft Suede cardstock. The main background for the card is created from a layer of Very Vanilla cardstock onto which I have stamped in Soft Suede ink using the Crackle Paint background stamp. I have then embossed this layer using the Subtle 3D embossing folder. This gives a lovely texture to the background of the card.
For the sentiment piece I have also stamped in Soft Suede ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock. This was then die cut using the Frosted Frames dies. I’ve added some extra interest by using a length of Copper Trim. The sentiment is adhered using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The final touch is created with the addition of gorgeous die-cut foliage from the Frosted Frames dies set. These have been cut from both Very Vanilla cardstock and Copper Foil Sheets. I think the shine and extra dimension produced by the foliage gives a lovely, luxurious feel to the card, making the recipient feel really special. Which, of course, is one of the main reasons to send handmade cards!
