Hello and welcome to my December Stamp Set Showcase! This month I will be featuring a brand new Stamp Set that will be available in the Stampin’ Up! January – June 2020 Mini Catalogue. The stamp set is called ‘Painted Poppies’ and is part of the ‘Peaceful Poppies’ Suite.
The whole Suite is delightful and includes two stamp set and die bundles, DSP, sequins, ribbon and die-cut elements. You’ll find it on pages 24-27 of the new catalogue once you get yours! If you don’t already have a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and would like a copy of the catalogue just get in touch and I’ll be happy to send you one.
When I get a new stamp set, I have started creating gift tags using all the images (and dies where appropriate) because I love the small canvas that tags provide. It means you can see, at a glance, what options you have available and provides a source of inspiration for larger projects. The examples I have to show you today use every image and every die from the bundle!
Let’s make it…
As well as the Stampin’ Up! Painted Poppies bundle, I have used Whisper White, Shimmery White, Watercolour Paper and Garden Green cardstock for the tag bases. Most have been cut out using the Delightful Tag Topper Punch but I have used one of the dies from the set for one of the tags. I have used Poppy Parade, Garden Green and Memento inks (as well as Stazon for the watercolour tag). The ribbons used are the Garden Green Double-Stitched ribbon and the Whisper White Crinkled Seam binding ribbon, which I coloured using the Dark Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blend.
As you can see, all of these tags have been created using the Stampin’ Up! Painted Poppies bundle and some basic supplies. These could be easily ‘stepped-up’ using the coordinating DSP and/or sequins and I’m sure you can see how any of them could be expanded to create matching cards and 3D projects.
I hope you have enjoyed this initial look at the Stampin’ Up! Painted Poppies stamp set. Next week I’ll be including the DSP and some of the embellishments to provide you with more inspiration.
