Magnolia Lane part 4

Welcome to part 4 of my Stampin’ Up! Magnolia Lane showcase. This week I have another matching set of projects for you – card, gift tag and gift box. To create these projects I have used the stamp set, dies, DSP and ribbon bundle. A full list of the supplies can be found at the end of the blog.

If you have missed parts 1 to 3 and would like to catch up you can find them here… part 1, part 2, part 3.

Gift Tag

Let’s start with the gift tag. The base of the tag is created from one of the gorgeous sheets of DSP that features in this suite. To be honest you could choose any of the designs and it would look fabulous. I’ve continued the colour scheme from the DSP into the sentiment piece (Petal Pink and Mossy Meadow in this case). The Magnolia is cut from Whisper White cardstock with a centre of So Saffron. The die set features three sizes of this Magnolia flower so I cut two of each size to give a nice, full, layered flower. The finishing touch is the ribbon. I think using both ribbons from the bundle make it look extra special!

Card

The card is created from a base of Mossy Meadow cardstock with a layer of the same DSP as used for the tag. The sentiment piece is also created in the same way, using the Everyday Label punch. The Mossy Meadow punched shape is left complete but the Petal Pink shape has been trimmed such that the Mossy Meadow cardstock provides a border. The Magnolia flower has been cut and layered as with the gift tag. Although this gives some lovely dimension this card still fits in a standard Stampin’ Up! envelope.

Gift Box

The base of the gift box is one of the Stampin’ Up! Mini Pizza Boxes (these come in packs of 8 and make giving small gifts so easy). I have decorated this with a piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock, layered with a piece of the gorgeous DSP. This has simply been decorated with the Magnolia but I hope you’ll agree it looks far from simple!
