Let the DSP do the work!

Frosted Foliage Card

Welcome back to my Stampin’ Up! Frosted Foliage Stamp Set Showcase! You can find the first blog post in the series here.

Do you love to make handmade Christmas cards but struggle to find the time? Well, I have the answer! Let the DSP do the work! The Feels Like Frost DSP is fabulous. One side has gorgeous photo-real images in beautiful subtle colours whilst the other side has silver and white patterns and images that perfectly complement the images in the stamp set. This means that stunning handmade Christmas cards are just a couple of minutes away!

Let’s make it…

Frosted Foliage Card

The card base is created from Night of Navy cardstock. I have then used a layer of the gorgeous DSP which provides an instant background image. I have used the coordinating Frosted Frames dies to cut a piece of the silver and white DSP which helps to ground the sentiment piece. The sentiment (and a little bit of foliage) is stamped in Night of Navy ink onto Seaside Spray cardstock and cut out using the Stitched Rectangles dies. This is then layered onto a larger Night of Navy Stitched Rectangle. I have adhered this sentiment piece using Stampin’ Dimensionals allowing the final touch of a length of Seaside Spray metallic ribbon to sit underneath.

It really is that simple! These cards would be great for batch-making and you could use different colours and embellishments to coordinate with all of the different DSP images.
