Daisy Lane – part 1

Welcome to part 1 of a new Stamp Set Showcase series. This month we will be exploring the new ‘Daisy Lane’ stamp set.

The details…

The first thing to note is that it coordinates with the existing Daisy Punch but there might be an extra surprise on it’s way too! All will be revealed in the new catalogue. If you haven’t got your copy yet, let me know and I’ll get one sent out.

The stamp set contains three floral images, two foliage images and four sentiments (my favourite of which I have used here).

Today’s projects are all coordinated and feature a colour scheme of Whisper White and Poppy Parade with a few added bits of bling! I love to create coordinated projects as it shows that you have put time and thought into, not only the gift, but the initial impact too.

Lets start with the gift tag…

The tag base is in Whisper White and was created using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch and the Detailed Trio Punch (to round the bottom corners). I have stamped the sentiment in multiple generations in Poppy Parade ink. One daisy has been stamped in Poppy Parade and then cut out using the Daisy Punch and the other has been cut straight out of Poppy Parade cardstock. The petals of both daisies were shaped by hand to give some extra dimension. Rhinestone Basic Jewels were added for a bit of sparkle, some I left plain and others I coloured using the Dark Poppy Parade Blends. The finishing touch is provided with a combination of Whisper White Baker’s twine and Silver Metallic thread.

Next, the card…

The card base is created from a piece of Whisper White thick cardstock and I have stamped the sentiment directly onto the card base. Again I used multiple generations of stamping in Poppy Parade ink. The daisy was created exactly as in the gift tag example and Rhinestone Basic Jewels add the final, twinkly touch!

Finally, the gift box…

The gift box is created from one of the Mini Pizza Boxes (available in packs of 8). The first layer of the topper is Poppy Parade cardstock, followed by Whisper White. The sentiment, daisy and bling are all as in the previous two projects which really ties them all together and means that your card and gift will be ultra-coordinated.
