Bloom and Grow Part 4

I have a very personal card for you today. This is the birthday card that I have created for my Mam. She is one of the most important people in my life and it’s her birthday tomorrow. I’m not worried about her seeing it early though as she doesn’t do blogs! I hope you like the card (I’m sure she will).

Previous blog posts…

By the way, if you would like to read the previous three instalments of the Bloom and Grow Stamp Set Showcase, you can find them here… 1, 2 and 3.

Let’s make it…

The card base is created from Rococo Rose cardstock. This is followed by another layer of Rococo Rose which I have embossed using the Tufted 3D embossing folder. I think this is a really luxurious combination. The embossed layer is wrapped with a length of Rococo Rose Scalloped Linen Trim and then adhered using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The floral image is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured using the Rococo Rose and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends combos. This is cut out using the coordinating Budding Blooms Dies. I have adhered the coloured image to a fancy frame created using the Stitched Labels Dies. All of the other die cuts also come from this set and I have layered elements of Vellum Cardstock, Rococo Rose Cardstock and a Whisper White sentiment piece.

The final touches come from the stitched heart and ‘Mam’ label (I am from the Midlands after all!). The inside sentiment reads ‘You are simply wonderful’ because she is! I will also decorate the envelope using the same floral image as features on the front of the card.

Next time…

I hope you have enjoyed this series of 4 blog posts showcasing the Bloom and Grow stamp set. It’s definitely one which I will be continuing to reach for often. Next week I will start my September showcase which will feature the Perfectly Plaid stamp set and coordinating Pine Tree Punch.
