Subtle Easter Card

Hello and welcome! Today I want to share with you an Easter card which I created for an SU! Colour Challenge. The challenge colours were: So Saffron, Mint Macaron, Petal Pink and Call Me Clover. The first three colours are from the Stampin’ Up! Subtles family, hence the name of the blog post! If you would like to find out more about these colour challenges, see the other entries or join in, you can visit the Facebook page here.

If you would prefer to watch me create the card, simply scroll to the end of this blog post where you can watch my video tutorial.

Let’s make it…

The card base is created from So Saffron cardstock and this is followed by a slightly smaller layer of Mint Macaron DSP. I have then used the Stampin’ Up! Ornate Layers Dies to cut a piece of Petal Pink cardstock and a piece of So Saffron DSP. These are all layered together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The large flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tulips Stamp Set have been stamped in Petal Pink ink onto Whisper White cardstock and cut out using the coordinating Tulip Builder Punch. Two leaves have been stamped in Call Me Clover ink onto Whisper White cardstock and fussy-cut. These are layered onto the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The sentiment is stamped in Call Me Clover ink onto Whisper White cardstock and cut out using one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies. I have adhered a double length of Call Me Clover Grosgrain Ribbon to the back of the sentiment piece using Tear & Tape. The sentiment piece is adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The final touch is added with a few of the Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots.
