SU Tropical Oasis Card

Hello and welcome! Today I want to share with you a card I created for the latest Global Design Project Challenge. The sketch for the challenge is shown below…

I decided to use the Stampin’ Up! Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper (DSP) as the focal point of my project because we could all use some happy, bright, summer images right now! Here is the card I created…

If you would prefer to watch me create the card, simply scroll to the end of this blog post where you can watch my video tutorial!

Let’s make it…

The card base is created from Daffodil Delight cardstock and this is followed by a slightly smaller layer of Tropical Oasis DSP. I have then cut a banner shape from another sheet of DSP and embossed it using the Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder. This is adhered to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The sentiment is stamped in Soft Suede ink onto Whisper White cardstock and cut out using one of the Stitched So Sweetly dies. I have then used the next size die to cut a piece of the DSP and layered these together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A small length of Burlap Ribbon is doubled up and adhered to the back of the sentiment piece using Tear & Tape. The whole piece is then adhered to the banner using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The final touch is added with a few Terracotta Tile In Colour Faceted Dots.
