SU Honey Bee Card

Hello and welcome! Today I’d like to share with you a card I created for a AAA Cards challenge. You can find out more about these challenges, view the other entries or take part by clicking on the link provided. The challenge was a sketch with an optional twist, as shown below…

If you would prefer to watch me create the card simply scroll to the end of this blog post where you can watch my video tutorial.

I decided to take on the optional twist and used the Stampin’ Up! Honey Bee Stamp Set…

Let’s make it…

The card base is created from Basic Black cardstock and this is followed by a layer of Whisper White cardstock.

I have used a Sponge Brayer to add Daffodil Delight ink to the bottom of the Whisper White layer.

The large bee image and the sentiment are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink with the positions dictated by the sketch.

I love these Clean & Simple card challenges as they force me to think about every element on the card and follow the ‘less is more’ principle which I often struggle with!

If you have any questions or comments please leave them below or email me at helen@papercraftlife.com

After 15 years working in the NHS I decided it was time for a change. Helen Chapman Handmade Crafts began in 2017, selling cards and gifts at local craft fairs. In 2018, I also became an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator which allows me to share my passion for papercraft with others via workshops and other events.
