When I saw the latest challenge from CAS(E) this Sketch I knew I wanted to use the Stampin’ Up! Follow Your Art Designer Series Paper (DSP). I just needed to decided on the sentiment. Having sent a newsletter recently entitled ‘Stay home, craft on’ I chose to create my own sentiment using the Stampin’ Up! Make A Difference Stamp Set. This is a great set to own because you can use it to create personalised sentiments and greetings.
If you would prefer to watch me create the card simply scroll to the end of this blog post where you can watch my video tutorial.
If you would like to find out more about these challenges, see the other entries or join in you can find everything you need on the website. Before I show you my project here is the sketch…
The CAS stands for Clean and Simple and ‘CASE’ is a term used by Stampin’ Up! which stands for Copy and Share Everything. I hope I will be forgiven for my use of a few Glitter Enamel Dots!
Let’s make it…
The card base is created from Coastal Cabana cardstock. The main card front is created by cutting pieces of the DSP in a similar way to that shown in the sketch. These are adhered directly onto the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
The sentiment is stamped in Coastal Cabana and Pacific Point ink on Whisper White cardstock. I have trimmed these pieces roughly using Paper Snips. A piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock was cut out using the 2.25″ Circle Punch and a piece of Pacific Point cardstock using the 2″ Circle Punch. These were layered together and the sentiment adhered on top.
The sentiment piece is adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The final touch is added with the use of a few Glitter Enamel Dots (apologies if this breaches CAS, I couldn’t help myself!).
