Sending Love and Hugs

Sending Love and Hugs Card using the Stampin' Up! Framed For You Stamp Set - card by Helen Chapman Handmade Crafts

Hello and welcome! Today I’d like to share with you a card that I sent recently. The sentiment I used says ‘Sending Love and Hugs’ which was absolutely perfect. I used the Stampin’ Up! Framed For You Stamp Set…

This is such a versatile stamp set! I love the frame with the realistic wood detailing; the foliage and flowers are great for building up more complex images or wreaths; and the sentiments are simple but meaningful! Such a fabulous combination.

Let’s make it…

The (standard A6) card base is created from Pear Pizzazz cardstock. This is followed by a layer of Whisper White cardstock measuring 10 x 14.4 cm which forms the main card front.

Onto the card front I have repeatedly stamped the foliage in Pear Pizzazz ink and the flower in Bumble Bee ink.

The frame is stamped in Soft Suede ink and cut out using one of the squares from the Stitched Shapes Dies. The sentiment is then stamped in the centre of the frame using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. This is adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The final touch is provided by a few Pearl Basic Jewels which have been coloured using the Dark Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends pen. These are placed in the centres of the flowers. The Soft Suede seems to give the Pearls an unexpected but gorgeous metallic look which I was really pleased with.

What do you think to my Sending Love and Hugs Card?

I hope you like my ‘Sending Love and Hugs’ Card. This sentiment feels so apt at the moment with so many people unable to give real hugs to their loved ones. Who would you like to send a virtual hug?
