Scrap Paper Notepad

Quick and simple scrap paper notepad by Helen Chapman Handmade Crafts

Hello and welcome! If you are anything like me you hoard scrap paper and have a bit of a notebook obsession! No? Oh, ok! Either way, I’d love to share with you this super quick and simple Scrap Paper Notepad that I made. It’s perfect for popping into your bag and jotting things down as you go. I know a lot of people make notes on their phones but for me, I much prefer writing it down with a pen or pencil on a real piece of paper!

Let’s make it…

The cover is created from a piece of Very Vanilla Thick cardstock measuring 10.5 x 21 cm, scored at 10.5 cm along the long edge. The bottom corners are rounded using the Detailed Trio Punch.

To decorate the cover, I cut a piece of Ornate Garden Designer Series Paper (DSP) to 10 x 10 cm and rounded the bottom corners as above.

For the pages of the notepad, I simply took scrap paper and trimmed to approximately 10 x 10 cm. The great thing is, you can use any scrap paper and it doesn’t matter if all the sheets are slightly different sizes.

Once the sheets were collated, I punched holes in the top of all of the sheets and in the back of the cover. Then you just need to thread through a length of ribbon and tie. I used the Terracotta Tile Ribbon from the Ornate Garden Ribbon Combo Pack. And there you have it, your super quick and simple Scrap Paper Notepad!

Then just scribble away, tear out the sheets and refill when needed!

What do you think to my Scrap Paper Notepad?

I hope you like this Scrap Paper Notepad. Don’t forget you can embellish it further if you want to or you could stamp on the cover rather than using DSP. You could even use nice quality paper and trim them more carefully to give as little gifts!
