Ornate Garden Card

Today I would like to share with you a card I created using the Ornate Garden Suite. This Suite has been released early (available to customers 1st April 2020, or Join My Team and order now) and will feature in the upcoming Annual Catalogue.

This project is a quick and simple card which allows the intricacy of the die cuts to take centre stage – I hope you like it!

If you would prefer to watch a video of me creating the card, scroll to the bottom of this blog post where you’ll find me YouTube video.

Let’s make it…

The card base is created from Very Vanilla Thick cardstock. I have then cut a smaller piece of Early Espresso cardstock and adhered it to the card base to provide the main card front. I have cut the flower strip from the Ornate Border Dies out of Very Vanilla cardstock and adhered this to the bottom of the card front.

The sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock and cut out using the smallest frame from the Ornate Layers Dies. This sentiment piece is then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Card making doesn’t get much simpler than this but with such gorgeous products, even your quick and simple makes will be show-stoppers!

After 15 years working in the NHS I decided it was time for a change. Helen Chapman Handmade Crafts began in 2017, selling cards and gifts at local craft fairs. In 2018, I also became an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator which allows me to share my passion for papercraft with others via workshops and other events.
