Honey Bee Card

Hello and welcome! Today I wanted to share with you a card I made for the latest CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge. The sketch for the challenge is shown below:

I decided to use the Stampin’ Up! Honey Bee Stamp set and this is my project…

(If you would prefer to watch me making the card, scroll to the end of this blog post to watch my YouTube video)

Let’s make it…

The card base is created from Whisper White Thick cardstock. I have followed this with a slightly smaller layer of Basic Black cardstock and an even smaller layer of Whisper White cardstock.

The honey comb is cut from Basic Black cardstock using the Stampin’ Up! Detailed Bee Dies which coordinate with the Honey Bee Stamp Set. This is adhered to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The large bee image is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Daffodil Delight cardstock and cut out using the 2.25″ Circle Punch.

The sentiment is stamped onto Whisper White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and trimmed into a rectangle. This sentiment piece is adhered to the Daffodil Delight circle using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and the whole piece then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The final touch is provided by a few Gold Metallic Pearls.

I hope you have enjoyed this blog post. If you have any questions or comments please leave them below or email me at helen@papercraftlife.com
