Feels Like Frost Merry Christmas Banner

Hello, and welcome to the final instalment of my Stampin’ Up! Feels Like Frost Suite Showcase. If you have missed the previous instalments, you can find them here (part 1, part 2 and part 3).

Pastel shades are set to be extremely popular this Christmas and with that in mind I really wanted to create a home décor piece for this final instalment. The Stampin’ Up! Feels Like Frosted Speciality DSP includes some gorgeous on-trend colours, such as Seaside Spray, Purple Posy and Highland Heather. I have incorporated these colours into a fabulous ‘Merry Christmas’ banner.

Let’s make it…

The background pieces of the banner are created from pieces of cardstock measuring 11.5 x 13cm. You will need 14 or 15 of these depending on whether you will include a ‘space’ between ‘Merry’ and ‘Christmas’. I included a ‘space’ and therefore cut 5 pieces each of Seaside Spray, Purple Posy and Highland Heather.

You will then need to die cut 14 or 15 of the flourish frames from the Stampin’ Up! Frosted Frames die set in the coordinating DSP sheets. Adhere these to the relevant banners. I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and Tear & Tape because the back of this DSP is foil so can be difficult to adhere.

Next I cut the letters out of Stampin’ Up! Silver Foil Sheets. The dies that I used are actually retired but you can use your favourite alphabet dies. The final touch is a couple of snowflakes on each section of the banner. These are cut from the Silver Foil Sheets too, using the snowflakes from the Frosted Frames die set.

I think this makes a gorgeous festive feature that will grace your wall or mantle piece and impress your guests! If you would like to make your own, you can purchase the supplies (apart from the letter dies – although other alphabet die sets are available) from my online shop by clicking the links below.

Next time…
