Granny Apple Green Colour Challenge 3

Stampin' Up! Pattern Play Card by Helen Chapman Handmade Crafts

Hello and welcome to Week 3 of my Stampin’ Up! Granny Apple Green Colour Challenge. If you missed my first two projects you can find them here… Week 1, Week 2. Today I will be sharing with you a Stampin’ Up! Pattern Play Card.

Today’s colour combination is: Granny Apple Green, Balmy Blue and Highland Heather. I decided to use the Pattern Play Stamp Set as it is one of my current favourites and lends itself well to bright, colourful cards.

Let’s make it…

The (standard A6) card base is created from Granny Apple Green cardstock. This is followed by a layer of Whisper White cardstock measuring 10 x 14.4 cm.

The two different heart stamps from the set are stamped repeatedly in the challenge colours (Granny Apple Green, Balmy Blue and Highland Heather) onto the card front.

A length of Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon has been coloured using Granny Apple Green and Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends, wrapped around the card front and secured at the back using Tear & Tape.

The sentiment is stamped in Highland Heather ink onto Whisper White cardstock. Extra decoration is added by stamping one of the other images from the set in Granny Apple Green ink. The sentiment is then cut out using one of the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. A larger die is used to cut out a piece of Balmy Blue cardstock and these pieces are layered together and adhered to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The final touch is provided by a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels which have been coloured using the Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends.

What do you think to my Pattern Play Card?

I love my Colour Challenges as it means that I use combinations that I wouldn’t generally choose. Balmy Blue and Highland Heather are a great pairing but I don’t think I had added Granny Apple Green along with them until now! Do you like my Pattern Play Card?
