In Good Taste Treat Cup

Hello and welcome! Today I’d like to share with you my Stampin’ Up! In Good Taste Treat Cup! These Mini Coffee Cups are part of the Heartwarming Hugs Suite but it feels a little soon for Christmas themed projects so I’ve used them with the In Good Taste Suite to create a gift holder that can be used all year round. The Stamp Set and Dies form the Warm Hugs Bundle which is also part of the Suite.

Let’s Make It…

Use the Warm Wraps Dies (part of the Warm Hugs Bundle) to cut out the two sections of the wrap from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper (DSP). Apply Tear & Tape to the tabs and adhere to form one piece. Insert the cup into the wrap and adhere if required.

Wrap a length of Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon around the cup and tie in a bow at the top. Tie a length of Night of Navy Ribbon (for the Playing With Patterns Ribbon Combo Pack) to the bow and allow the tails to trail down the cup.

Stamp the ‘for you’ sentiment onto Petal Pink cardstock in Night of Navy ink and cut out using the coordinating ‘ring’ die. Use the larger circle die to cut out a piece of the DSP.

Adhere to of the small leaves from the In Good Taste Elements to the back of the ring of Petal Pink cardstock. Adhere to the DSP circle using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. Adhere one of the large leaves to the back of the DSP circle. Finish with one of the wooden hexagons and adhere to the cup using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I hope you like my Stampin’ Up! In Good Taste Treat Cup. These cups are a really nice size for a small gift – something coffee related would be perfect (or maybe hot chocolate later in the year)!

Playing With Patterns Gift Box

Hello and welcome to part 3 of my Stampin’ Up! Playing With Patterns Suite Showcase. If you missed parts 1 and 2 you can find them here… part 1, part 2. Today I am sharing with you a Playing With Patterns Gift Box made using the Mini Paper Pumpkin Boxes which you can find on Page 152 of your 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue.

In Parts 1 and 2 we have concentrated on the Pattern Play Stamp Set and Playful Alphabet Dies from the Suite. Today, we are adding in the Playing With Patterns Designer Series Paper (DSP). This paper pack is just so bright and cheerful! It’s great for all ages and perfect for those who love pattern and colour.

Let’s take a look at today’s project…

Let’s make it…

Start by assembling your Mini Paper Pumpkin Box. The score lines are already there for you and you don’t need any adhesive for this bit.

The band is created from a piece of Purple Posy cardstock measuring 14 x 26.2 cm. The long edge is scored at 2.8, 12.6, 15.4 and 25.2 cm. Once I had folded and burnished the score lines, I applied Tear & Tape to the 1cm tab and adhered the band together.

With the band in place around the box, I adhered a piece of the DSP (measuring 13.5 x 9.3 cm) to the top.

The ‘Just For’ sentiment is stamped in Night of Navy ink onto Purple Posy cardstock and cut out using the Stitched Shapes Dies. The stamp is from the Meant To Be Stamp Set and I masked off the ‘you’ so that I could recreate that using the dies. The circle is adhered to the DSP using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The ‘y’, ‘o’ and ‘u’ are cut out of DSP using the Playful Alphabet Dies. These are then adhered to Coastal Cabana cardstock circles cut out using the Stitched Shapes Dies. These are then adhered to the box using Foam Adhesive Strips.

The final touch is provided by a length of Purple Posy Ribbon from the Playing With Patterns Ribbon Combo Pack which I have tied around the finished box.

What do you think to my Playing With Patterns Gift Box?

I hope you like my Playing With Patterns Gift Box. These Mini Paper Pumpkin Boxes are great for little gifts and they also fit the Stampin’ Up! Note Cards & Envelopes perfectly! This means you could add a note card in with your gift or you could even use the box to gift a set of beautiful note cards!

Butterfly Gala 3D projects

Introduction

Hello, and welcome to part 3 of the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Gala Showcase. In part 2 we looked at handmade cards (you can find the blog here) and this week we will be making 3D projects. Again there will be examples for beginner, casual and avid crafters so, no matter what your level of experience and size of your craft stash, there’s something for everyone!

If you don’t have any experience making gift bags or boxes, or don’t have the tools you need, don’t worry! Stampin’ Up! make it super simple with their choice of pre-cut, pre-scored boxes which you just need to fold to assemble. They will really add that little extra touch to your gifts.

Beginner Crafters

The project for beginners uses only the Stampin’ Up! Clear Tiny Treat Boxes, cardstock, stamps and ink and so is really simple to make but gives a great alternative to wrapping sweet treats and other small gifts. Having assembled the box, I used a 4cm wide strip of Whisper White cardstock to create a wrap for the box. The butterflies are then stamped in Poppy Parade, Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Pacific Point and Gorgeous Grape to create a rainbow effect. The wrap is then scored and shaped around the box and adhered. These treat boxes would be great for mini eggs or other small Easter gifts.

Casual Crafters

The project for casual crafters adds in the use of the coordinating punch (Butterfly Duet) and uses one of the Stampin’ Up! Mini Pizza Boxes. A piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock is cut to the size of the box lid and the butterflies stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. These were then cut out using the punch. The butterflies were then shaped by bending up the wings and adhered back into the space from which they were cut. I stamped the sentiment onto Bermuda Bay cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and cut it out using the Everyday Label punch. Extra detail was added using a journaling pen. These Pizza Boxes are really easy to decorate and you can make them as simple or elaborate as you wish (or as your crafty stash allows!).

Avid Crafters

The avid crafter project uses the Stampin’ Up! Kraft Pillow Boxes. I have adapted one to create a bag by using an oval die to cut out a handle. I have then tied a ribbon around the box. A piece of Highland Heather cardstock was cut out using the Starburst punch and a piece of Balmy Blue cardstock was cut out using the 2” Circle punch. These have been layered up with a slight offset to add a slightly different look. The Butterfly Duet punch has been used to cut out an image from the coordinating Botanical Butterfly DSP. I have stamped the sentiment onto Whisper White cardstock in Highland Heather ink, and outlined the sentiment using a stamps from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set. These pieces are then layered up and adhered to the box using dimensionals. These little bags/boxes look stunning and would be great for wedding favours or small gifts.

Next Time…

I hope you have enjoyed part 3 of the Butterfly Gala Showcase. Next week we will review the Butterfly Gala stamp set and see some bonus projects! In the meantime, if you have any questions just let me know.

Forever Lovely 3D projects

Hello, and welcome to part 3 of the Stampin’ Up! Forever Lovely Showcase. In part 2 we looked at handmade cards (you can find the blog here) and this week we will be making 3D projects using the stamp set and coordinating products from the All My Love suite. Again there will be examples for beginner, casual and avid crafters so, no matter what your level of experience and size of your craft stash, there’s something for everyone. If you don’t have any experience making gift bags or boxes, or don’t have the tools you need, don’t worry! Beginner

The project for beginners uses only the Stampin’ Up! Mini Pizza Boxes, cardstock, stamps and ink and so is really simple to make but gives a great alternative to wrapping sweet treats and other small gifts. The colour scheme for this project is Flirty Flamingo and Whisper White. Having assembled the box a used piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock to create a border and then stamped the hearts and sentiment onto a slightly smaller piece of Whisper White cardstock. This monochrome look is simple and stylish and even awkwardly shaped gifts will be packaged perfectly.

Casual

The project for casual crafters adds in the use of the coordinating dies (Lovely Flowers Edgelits) and uses the Stampin’ Up! Kraft Pillow Box. I’ve turned mine into a cute little bag by using an oval die to cut out a handle! Lovely layers have been created using circle and starburst punches in Whisper White, Lovely Lipstick and Soft Sea Foam. The flower is stamped in Lovely Lipstick onto Whisper White card and the leaves have been stamped in Soft Sea Foam onto Whisper White card and cut out using the coordinating dies. Extra foliage has also been cut out of Whisper White cardstock. The sentiment is stamped in Lovely Lipstick and cut out using the Classic Label punch. All of the elements have been adhered with either Multipurpose adhesive or dimensionals to give a beautiful layered effect. These boxes (or bags if you cut out the handle) will add a stylist finish to any small gift.

Avid

The avid crafter project uses the Stampin’ Up! Lustrous White Mini Gable Boxes as well as the All My Love coordinating Designer Series Paper (DSP) and embellishments (ribbon and Heart Epoxy Droplets). Once I had assembled the box, I cut a piece of DSP and adhered it to the front of the box. I then attached a length of Lovely Lipstick ribbon around the box. Pieces of DSP were cut out using circle punches and layered together to add interest. The sentiment is stamped in Lovely Lipstick on Whisper White cardstock and cut out using the Everyday Label punch. For the finishing touch I have coloured three of the Heart Epoxy Droplets using Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends and adhered them to the sentiment piece. These gable boxes look stunning and would be great for wedding favours or small gifts.
