How to create gorgeous Christmas gift tags

Hello and welcome! Today I would like to show you how to create gorgeous Christmas gift tags. For these tags I have used a variety of Stampin’ Up! products.

I think beautiful gift tags are so important. We put so much effort into choosing the perfect gifts for our loved ones. I believe we should put just as much effort into the presentation of the gift!

Let’s make it… Gorgeous Christmas Gift Tags

All of the tags are created in the same way but in different colours. The colours shown are Sahara Sand, Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce. You can use any colours for which you have Christmas themed DSP.

Trim a piece of Whisper White Thick cardstock to 5 x 10 cm. Use the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch and the Detailed Trio Punch to create the tag shape. Repeat this with a piece of Designer Series Paper (I have used the Classic Christmas DSP). Adhere these two layers using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. See here for the Stampin’ Up! DSP collection.

Using the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set, stamp the Christmas tree and infill onto Whisper White cardstock in the desired colour. Cut out using the coordinating Pine Tree Punch.

Heat emboss the sentiment using White Stampin’ Emboss Powder onto coordinating cardstock. I have used the ‘Merry Christmas’ sentiment from the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set. Cut out the sentiment using an appropriately sized die. I have used one of the Tasteful Labels Dies. Adhere the sentiment piece to the main tag using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Adhere the Christmas Tree to the tag using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The final touch is provided by attaching one of the Glittering Star Ornaments using the Braided Linen Trim.

Would it be great if you created a whole matching set of Christmas card, gift wrap and tag using this design?! I think that would look so cute.

Stampin’ Up! in my Craft Room… OnStage @home!

Hello! November would normally involve heading off somewhere to meet up with 100s or 1000s of fellow Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Obviously this year is a little different!

This year, OnStage was delivered virtually and it was still great fun! Nothing is quite the same as being in the same room as 100s of like-minded people, excited to craft together, discover new products and meet friends (old and new). However, Stampin’ Up! made a great job of replicating the experience as well as possible.

Prize Patrol became Pop-Up Prizes, Make & Takes became Stamp & Share. There was entertainment from Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo, recognition, stamping demonstrations, business presentations, sneak peeks and all the usual fun! We even joined with a few other Stampin’ Up! teams via Zoom so that we could enjoy the fun together.

I was so pleased to be recognised for advancing to the title of Silver during the 2019/2020 Stampin’ Up! year! Thank you so much to all of my wonderful customers, my fabulous team leader and my lovely Inklings for making this possible.

I’m sure you’d like to see a sneak peek of some new products, right?! Well, I have seen the upcoming January-June Mini Catalogue (and you’re going to love it) but I’ve also had chance to play with some of the new goodies and place on order! I know, demo perks rock! Here are a few teasers…

These events always give you a great boost to your motivation and mindset with presentations covering overcoming obstacles, marketing, social media and helping your team members to get off to a successful start, whatever their goals.

I hope this has given you a taste of the Stampin’ Up! OnStage experience – maybe one day you’ll become a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and attend yourself! They really do become highlights of your year! If you would like to find out more about this opportunity, you can email me or visit my joining page for more information.

Don’t forget that if you would like a copy of the January-June Mini Catalogue, simply fill in the form here.

Find out what we made at our October Team Meeting!

Which is your favourite? Can you guess the Stampin’ Up! products used? Comment below with as many as you can spot and I’ll send one of the cards to whoever gets the most correct!

How to make a fabulous foliage ‘Hello’ card

Hello and welcome to my October Colour Challenge! I’m a little behind schedule but I think this is worth the wait! My randomly selected colour this month is Pretty Peacock and, as always, the first project is monochrome. Let me show you how to make a fabulous foliage ‘Hello’ card…

I decided to use the Stampin’ Up! Quite Curvy bundle. This is an early release product from the January – June 2021 Mini Catalogue and will be available to customers from 3rd November 2020. The order number for the bundle is 156228 so make a note of that ready to shop when the time comes! If you can’t wait until then, join my team and get hold of it straight away! For more details on that, click here.

Let’s make it… Quite Curvy Foliage Card

Start with a (standard A6) Whisper White Thick card base. Follow this with a layer of Pretty Peacock cardstock measuring 10 x 14.4 cm. Next, cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock to 9.5 x 13.9 cm to form the main card front.

Onto the card front, stamp the foliage image around the edges using Pretty Peacock ink. Colour in the leaves using the Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blends Combo. Top tip: use the dark pen to create shadows where leaves overlap one another to help the images stand out and look more realistic!

Cut out a foliage element from Pretty Peacock cardstock using the Curvy Dies and adhere to the card front.

Stamp the sentiment (I have used ‘Hello’ from the Quite Curvy stamp set) in Pretty Peacock ink onto Whisper White cardstock. Cut out the sentiment using the relevant circle from the Stitched Shapes Die Set. Adhere this over the foliage element using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

What a gorgeous card to let someone know that you are thinking of them. ‘Just because’ cards are my favourite!

What do you think to my Quite Curvy Foliage Card?

I hope you enjoyed finding out how to make this Quite Curvy Foliage card. Are you a fan of Pretty Peacock? If so, check back next week for the next Pretty Peacock Colour Challenge which will feature it combined with Night of Navy and Granny Apple Green – wow!
